Felix's POV

I woke up as early as possible to prepare breakfast for Chaerin. Earlier, we even talked about random things and then she felt sleepy. I was sleepy before she even did but I wanted to make sure she will rest before I do.

That same hour we were talking, my friends are calling and messaging me that Chaerin can't be contact. I didn't answer their call and just sent them a reply.

As much as possible, I wanted to spend our days here without any worries. Chaerin would be so worried if she find out that people are looking for her. I even heard that her parents hired some people to find her.

Even I don't want to tell her, I have to. She has the right to know that there are people looking for her overnight.

I'm not that into cooking, and I learned just the basics. Well, this is not my expertise. I just thought it'll be nice to cook for her now that we're here together.

"Your highness." Yunho called as he came in the kitchen with some fruits, "Residents wanted to have you these fruits. They harvested all these."

"Oh. Thank you. I would really enjoy this."

"You should give Chaerin some." Yunho said

"Of course."

I continued cooking the bacon, egg, fried rice, and the soup while Yunho is arranging the fruits in the refrigerator.

"Aside from your guest. What is your relationship with her?" Yunho asked

"What do you mean?"

"I haven't seen you bring people here, not even your friends. It's just weird that you're suddenly here with someone. Is this some kind of runaway bride?" he chuckled

"What? Fuck no. She is just... I don't know."

"You like her, don't you?" he asked

"Is it too obvious?"

"The way you look at her. It is different." Yunho said and bitten the apple

"She's been with us in the palace. She was my personal assistant then she requested to be my personal maid instead. Of course I was looking for her. She has been with me for a long time and I didn't know it meant something. I started having feelings for her then."

"Oh wow." Yunho

"Now she is in the same apartment with me while we attend same class together. Recently, we found out she is the lost daughter of another royal clan."

"Why not marry her? What's stopping you?" Yunho

"I am already in an arranged marriage with the second most royal clan."

"Basically, you're engaged and you ran away with her to this island without anyone knowing?" Yunho

I nodded.

"Okay. This is crazy. Did you ask her to go with you?" Yunho asked

"No. She asked me to take her with me, anywhere."

"Fuck. Why?" Yunho

"She is in an arranged marriage with my friend, another royal."

Yunho looks surprised with what I said.

After having that conversation, he gave me some advice and I listened. Yunho and I became friends when I was still young and visiting the island with my parents. We were both troublemaker. He is the type of person that loves having fun but when it comes to something serious, he is more than serious than I am.

Yunho left as he needs to take care of something important, while I set up the table for breakfast so that it'll be ready when-

"Good morning." Chaerin greeted as he entered the kitchen area

"Good morning. Did I wake you up?"

"No. I really woke up. Did you cook something?" she asked

I nodded.

"That explains why I smell bacon here." she chuckled

"Sit down. Let's eat breakfast together."

"I'll help you." Chaerin said and started distributing the plates and utensils, while I put the food on the table

As we're done, we sat, facing each other. She started putting rice on her plate and mine too.

"Thank you." she said and started eating

I started eating as well, "By the way, my friends were messaging me earlier. They were looking for you. They said you can't be contact."

"I turned off my phone." she said and continued eating her food, "Why are they looking for me?"

"Because Minho and the others can't find you overnight. They thought something happened to you. Your parents even hired people to look for you."

She sighed, "Do they really want me to get married? Do they even know if I'm happy or not? I don't understand why do they get to decide when it's my future depending on it."

I nodded.

"Is it always like that? I was really glad I found my parents but I didn't know it would be like this. This is crazy."  Chaerin

"Well, when you're in a clan. One of the important things you need is to be in good relationship with another clan. In that way, you would be really powerful. It's all about making alliance."

She didn't talk.

"Just like me. I am in an arranged marriage to the daughter of the second most royal clan after us. We're making a powerful alliance with some people we knew."

"It's just so unfair. No one would be happy if it is all forced. Things would be so hard between you and Aina." Chaerin

"Well, there's nothing I can do. I am in no position to question the rule we have."

"Maybe when you're a King, you can change it." Chaerin

"Hmm... It doesn't matter to me."

She raised her eyebrow.

"You're already a royal. I can marry you once I am  King."
