Sena's POV

Our parents died yesterday and I had no time to hold a funeral for them or a ceremony to honor them. They were cremated and their ashes were in the columbarium. The report stated that they were in a car accident.

They were assigned for the safety of King Jacob and Queen Freya but the responsibility was given to me. I agreed and gladly accepted it. My parents were staying in states for vacation, yesterday, they were reported dead.

Everything happened so fast. I went there right away and had to go home as soon as possible. I was the only one who knew about it, and told the royal couple about it. They were the ones who let me borrow the private jet to bring home the ashes of my parents.

As I arrived at the palace, I went inside. Everyone knew me here-

"Princess!" Kyungmi called and hurriedly went to me as soon as she saw me "How are you? I heard about what happened to your parents."

"They are already in the columbarium. I have no time to hold funeral-"

"Hwang Sena. Your parents are well respected and should be honored with the service they gave to the royal family." King Jacob said as he walked downstairs with Queen Freya

We all bowed as a respect.

"I will hold a funeral today. For now, fix yourself and make sure to take care of your brother- Does he even know?" Queen Freya

"I was just about to tell him."

"He is not notified about what happened?" King Jacob asked

"I asked him to cut off all the communication with them or anything. I want him to focus on his studies not be given some task, your majesty."

"I understand. Go now. I'll ask the driver to bring you there." King Jacob said

After that conversation with them, they asked the driver to drive me to the University. I don't even know how to tell Hyunjin about what happened.

As I arrived, I saw the staffs of the school and they are also the same staffs that I saw when I was studying here. I was a graduate here and spent so much memories.

"Oh! Sena!" Jeongin happily called me as soon as he saw me

"Sena!" Jisung called as well

"You guys! I'm really happy to see you both. Where are the others?"

"They are busy with their clubs. How are you? Hyunjin never mentioned anything about you." Jisung said

"I'm fine. Where is he by the way?"

"In the arts club room. You know where it is, right?" Jeongin asked

I nodded.

"People are still talking about you and your rumored boyfriend. You guys are the famous couple in the campus. Can I have an interview with you?" Jisung asked

"Let me guess. You are from media and publicity club?"

Jisung happily needed.

"Sure. Let's have an interview."

"Sena!" Felix hurriedly ran to me as soon as he saw me and hugged me "Are you okay? I heard from Mom and Dad about what happened."

"I am fine."

"What happened?" Minho asked

"Felix will tell you guys everything. For now, I need to talk to Hyunjin."

They all nodded.

I left them there and went to arts club room. Luckily, no one was there except for Hyunjin. He is sleeping on the sofa while holding some papers.

How am I supposed to tell him?

I sighed, "Hwang Hyunjin."

His eyes opened as soon as he heard me. He was shocked to see me standing in front of him right now. He hurriedly stood up.

"Why were you sleeping?"

"I spent all night looking at these papers. Why are you here though?" he asked

We haven't seen each other for a long time. We are in the same country but we never get to see each other because I have some duties to fulfill while he needs to finish his study.

"Our parents are dead."

No reaction from him.

"Funeral will be held later. I wasn't supposed to hold a funeral for them but the Queen Freya insisted-"

"Why? They at least deserve to be honored." Hyunjin said

"That doesn't matter right now. Do you think we still have time for that? We have our own duties-"

"You have time for your duties but no time to hold a fucking funeral for them?!" he shouted and his eyes are getting teary

I was silent.

"Hyunjin, can you give me the list of-" a girl stopped talking as she realized what is happening, "Sorry. I am sorry. I'm going to leave."

"No. Stay."

"Huh?" she said

"Stay."

She stayed standing where she is at.

"What is our pledge?" I asked Hyunjin who is standing in front of me

He is not talking.

"Hwang Hyunjin. What is our pledge?"

He is still silent while tears are falling from his eyes.

"I'm asking you. Aren't I?" I said

"I am Prince Hyunjin from Hwang Clan. Our duty is to be responsible for the safety and security of the royal families. No matter what the circumstances are-" Hyunjin stopped as his voice broke

"Every second is important to us. We shouldn't waste our time. Royal families our first priority."

Hyunjin closed his eyes.

"Felix will tell you where the funeral will be held."

He hurriedly left the room, leaving me and the girl.

"I am Hwang Sena. Older sister of Hwang Hyunjin."

She bowed, "Your highness. I am Ahn Chaerin."

"Ahn Chaerin, you look like someone I know."
