Sena's POV

"Good morning, your highness." maid of our house greeted me as she bowed

"Good morning."

"Hyunjin hasn't been home since you two fought." she said

"Let him live where he wants."

I left the house and drove to the palace.

To be honest, I actually don't care where Hyunjin stays. He has his own money and he will definitely survive forever. Also, he knows how to defend himself which is why there's nothing I should be worried about.

Hyunjin has been always independent when it was just the two of us. We would do things in our own way as we please but he is different when it comes to our parents. He has always been dependent with them. I guess it was his way of saying that he needs them.

He hasn't been home since that night I actually tried to make him stop seeing Chaerin. It was for the best. Now that my parents are not here anymore to defend him if he got in trouble with the royalties, I have to protect him myself.

As I arrived at the palace, I went straight to the conference room. The royal couple is there as well as the Song clan, and the jury who assigned this meeting. I just greeted them and sat with the royal couple.

"This meeting is to talk about the marriage between Prince Felix and Princess Aina." the jury said

No one talked.

"It was a rule that the first and second rank of royalties will get married. If anyone tried to break this rule, there will be punishment; however, if there was a voluntary change of decision, the wedding will be dismissed." the jury added

What are they supposed to discuss now?

"It has come to my attention that the two clans are preparing for the wedding that will happen on first week of next year. It was beautiful as the two families will unite in harmony and love through this marriage. Unfortunately, there is a change of decision with the Song clan." he said

What? A change of decision?

Just the look by the royal couple's expression, they look confused as well. They probably have no idea on what is happening. Why is there a sudden change of decision with the Song clan? They are so eager to make the two get married.

"Was it about the date of the wedding?" Queen Freya asked

"The wedding and plan will stay as is but the groom will change." the jury said

Groom? It's not Felix anymore?

"I want to clarify, is Felix not going to get married to Aina?" King Jacob asked

"No." jury answered

Oh my gosh. Why are they changing their decision now?

"It was Aina's decision to not get married with Felix, and with someone else rather. I have checked with the other jury, and they seem to not have a problem with it." Lord Song said, Aina's Father

As I looked at the royal couple, there is a sign of relief upon hearing what the jury have discussed. I mean I would feel the same especially if my child is involved. They never wanted Felix to marry Aina nor anyone without Felix's own decision. However, Song clan is using their power as part of the jury to make Aina marry Felix.

"Again, there will be no marriage between Felix and Aina. Meeting dismissed." jury said

After having the meeting, royal couple told me to go home as they don't have any other plans for the day, except talking to Felix about it which will happen at the palace. It was my job to be with them always to ensure their safety. It was a job passed on by my parents after they have passed away.

As I arrived home, I noticed Hyunjin's car parked outside the house. What is he doing here? Did he finally realize that he shouldn't be with Chaerin?

"Prince Hyunjin is in his room." maid told me

"What is he doing here?"

"He arrived a few minutes after you left. Since then, he was drinking alcohol nonstop. He also arrived drunk." she said

What is his problem now?

I went upstairs, to his room. As I opened the door, Hyunjin is sitting on the floor, drunk. There are a lot of bottles all around the floor as if he was in a rush to drink it. Is this about Chaerin? Is he drinking because of her?

I sat beside him and took the bottle he is holding and started drinking it, "You should've told me you're going to drink. I could've helped you finish all these alcohol-"

He started sobbing.

"What are you crying about?"

He didn't talk.

"I don't know what your problem is but you deserve it for leaving me here alone."

"I already have Chaerin. She said she is okay with marrying me. I have her parents' permission. We were both happy with what's happening to us, everything is going smoothly." he cried

"What's the problem?"

"I can't stand seeing her everyday thinking that she is not as happy as she is with Felix when she is with me." Hyunjin said

"Maybe you were just overthinking it? What if she is happy with you? What if she is in love with you? What if-"

"It's too late now." he said

"It's never too late, Hyunjin."

Hyunjin handed me an invitation, "I'm already getting married to Aina. You should be there."
