3rd person POV

It's been days since the announcement of supposedly Aina's wedding with Felix– Christmas and New Year have passed by, and they all celebrated it simply with their loved ones. They greeted one another and had set up another celebration for their group of friends.

However, Hyunjin didn't want to attend the celebration as well as Felix and Aina. In the end, they didn't get to celebrate as some of them didn't want to go to the planned party. Chaerin is keeping herself distracted as much as possible to avoid anything that will remind her of the wedding.

It was finally the 3rd of January, year 2025. Everyone is preparing for the grand wedding of the royalties between two clans. People thought it was still between Felix and Aina, but only their friends knew about the change of decision, except for Chaerin.

The Royal wedding will happen in Shilla Seoul Hotel– everything is going as they planned it to be. There may be some minor changes but it was fine and perfect now that they all agreed to it.

Aina is in the private suite where she is getting ready to fix her makeup and wear the gown. She never wanted to get married but she had to do it. Aina might not be able to go against the plan of getting married, but at least she won't regret another wedding with Hyunjin.

Her parents came by her room to greet her with a smile on their faces. They knew this was for the best. She needs to secure her future, as she didn't know what to do in life. They had to do their part for her.

"Aina, you look beautiful." her Mom said

"Thank you." she answered with a smile on her face

"Are you sure with this change of decision? It's not too late to change–" her Dad

"I'm more than okay with this. I won't have to face that friend of mine with regrets of marrying the person she loves. She is the first friend I have made." Aina answered

"I'm sorry you had to do this." her Dad

"I understand everything you two have done for me. I thank you for that but I hope we avoid hurting other people's feelings in the future after this." Aina

Her Dad gave her a nod and smiled.

Meanwhile, in another private room, Hyunjin is alone. He is just standing in front of a mirror as he stares at himself wearing a white tuxedo, hair brushed up– the first and last time he will see himself wear a tuxedo to his own wedding.

"Are you regretting your decision now?" Sena asked as she entered the room

Hyunjin just showed a playful smirk.

"Well, I could always book you a private flight to the states." she jokingly said

"You're crazy. I would be such a disgrace to the family." he answered

"Disgrace? Who cares? It's just the two of us. Besides, Mom and Dad would love you to run away from this mess." Sena said

"I am sure Chaerin would be upset seeing me walking down the aisle after I told her to marry me. As much as I would love to run away but I can't just let another girl get disappointed by me." Hyunjin

"At least you have a conscience." she laughed

A few minutes of silence invaded the whole room as Sena could feel all those negative emotions in Hyunjin. She knew that he needed distractions but she didn't know how to do it. After all, Sena is the insensitive and stronger one between them.

"Chaerin is actually looking for you outside. I told her you would be there in a few minutes." Sena said

Hyunjin's tears started falling as he heard her name.
