3rd person's POV

The next morning. Chaerin is so busy cleaning the whole apartment- she is distracted with everything which is a good thing. She doesn't have time to think about Felix at all. She just needs to do everything she is tasked to do the whole day, no Felix.

Chaerin has decided not to attend all of her classes for the whole day- not because she is busy. She doesn't want to see Felix for the meantime. I mean she has seen him and he looks really fine as if nothing had happen.

Her mind is full of thoughts. What if Felix is just taking revenge on her after leaving him without any goodbyes? What if he doesn't know what's happening?

Never mind. Chaerin would look good as new, as if she was never hurt. As if she never cried over a man who doesn't give a fuck at all.

"Hey." Hyunjin greeted as he came out of his room, he is shock to see Chaerin, "Why are you not getting ready? We have our class in 30 minutes."

"I'm gonna stay here and clean everything-" Chaerin

"I can stay and help." Hyunjin suggested

"No. Attend the class, then tell me about the lectures. Make sure to listen, okay?" she smiled at him

Hyunjin just gave her a fake smile. He knew something is going on with her, but what can he do? Chaerin knows herself better than anyone. He just thought it is better to let Chaerin do what she wants to do.

He left their apartment and attended their classes. On his way to their classroom, he saw his friends and Felix as well.

"Hyunjin." Changbin called which caught everyone's attention

"Hey." Hyunjin greeted

"We were planning to drink later after class." Seungmin said

"No. I have other things to do." Hyunjin said

Little did they know, Hyunjin wanted to come home early and cook for Chaerin as his form of saying thank you for letting him stay. As much as he wanted to tell them about staying in one roof, he doesn't want to cause any more pain between Chaerin and Felix.

Meanwhile, as soon as Aina saw Hyunjin with his friends, she hurriedly left the university to go to Chaerin's apartment. She didn't get enough sleep just because she thought she is also at fault for what is happening.

As she arrived in front of Chaerin's apartment, she hesitated to knock-

"Aina? What are you doing here?" Chaerin asked as she saw her

Aina was shock to see Chaerin standing behind her, "Uh... I was just gonna remind you that the professor is looking for you-"

"Stop lying. Class will start in 20 minutes. Is this about Felix? If yes, I knew about your marriage with him. Don't worry." Chaerin smiled

"A-Actually... It wasn't just about that." she said

Chaerin doesn't want to talk to anyone that will connect her with Felix but she knew she had to talk to Aina. She knew there's something she needs to know.

She just knew.

A few hours have passed, Chaerin doesn't have the energy to move at all. Her mind is so busy thinking of what Aina told her, about those punishments that the royal couple might receive. A reason why Felix didn't pursue Chaerin even though they promised each other.

A knock was heard from her door-

"Hyunjin, you don't have to knock. You have the key to my door." she said

Knock.

"Seriously?" Chaerin whispered

She stood up and opened the door- it wasn't Hyunjin.

"Felix? Why are you here?" she managed to ask even though her heart started beating so fast the moment she saw his face

"I... I heard from Aina that she talked to you." he said

"She did. She told me everything. You don't have to worry now, Felix." Chaerin

He didn't talk.

Neither she did. 

There was a moment of silence between them. It was like they are at loss for words. They are also trying not to look at each other. If there is someone who would walk by, they will sense the pain between these two.

Silence broke, when Felix cried.

"I'm sorry. I had no choice." he said

"I understand, Felix. I do understand. You shouldn't be apologizing. I know we wouldn't be like this if you had a choice, right?" she said as she caress his shoulder

He nodded.

"What we're going to do now is let each other go." Chaerin whispered

Felix cried even more and punched the wall a few times which caused his fist to bleed, "Why does this have to happen? Why us? I didn't do anything wrong my whole life. I have always been so dedicated with my position. Why me?"

She started crying as well seeing Felix in pain.

"I don't want to get married. I want to be with you. I wanted to spend my whole life with you. I'm begging you." he said and kneeled in front of her

Chaerin looked away and wiped her tears away.

"Chaerin, I love you. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I didn't know this would happen. I'm sorry." he cried so much

She kneeled to be on the same level as him and wiped his tears, "Just cry the pain tonight, but tomorrow we have to act like nothing happened. I love you but we had no choice."

Felix cried.

Chaerin took off the ring  and handed it to Felix, "I'm sorry. We should let each other go."
