Chaerin's POV

After the wedding, we moved to a different area where the reception will happen– it was actually my suggestion to Aina as I heard that they are planning to get married here in Shilla Seoul Hotel. It would be more appropriate to do the reception indoors as people are wearing beautiful outfits for the wedding.

The reception started with the entrance of the newly married couple; we were served with appetizers and drinks; then followed by the beautiful Korean cultural performances such as dance and performing of songs. Hyunjin and Aina just said some speeches and toasts for their marriage. A group was invited to do a Kpop modern performance. We also presented our gifts and blessings to the new partner.

King Jacob and Queen Freya just said some speech congratulating the couple. Our group of friends have decided to rent out a bar for the rest of the night to enjoy and have some fun. Meanwhile the adults have decided to go home and have a simple dinner tomorrow.

"Chaerin, do you have a ride?" Aina asked me

"Uh... I was gonna ask Sujin to drive me to the bar."

"Great. Don't ask him. Just ride that black car in front. I have talked to the driver." she said

"Why don't you go with me?"

"I can't. I still have to go home. See you at the party!" she smiled and then left

I didn't have any choice but to go to the black car she was talking about. I did went and got in at the backseat–

"I told you I will be here." that familiar voice said

As I looked at the front seat, I saw Hyunjin. He is wearing a white shirt now, and his hair is not brushed up anymore. I think he already changed for the party tonight. He was smiling at me but I didn't dare speak a word nor smile at him.

"You are probably surprised with what happened and I was expecting that." he jokingly said

How can he talk as if it was nothing wrong?

"Have I told you about a dream I had? It was really beautiful. I got married to you and it was just you and me. I can say we are both happy. You are happy with me but it was different when you were with Felix." Hyunjin said as he drove the car

Did we have the same dream?

"Then in reality I thought I would have the chance with you– spending a lifetime. I do have feelings for you Chaerin, it was more than just admiration. It was more than just the happiness I feel with you. I did want to marry you that's why I asked, and I thought I had the chance after you and Felix ended but I was wrong." he started sobbing

I didn't talk.

"You remember when I gave you the ring? I told you to wish and I promise I will make that come true." Hyunjin

"Yes."

"You said you wanted us to be happy then I thought marriage could be the answer for our happiness. I even talked to your parents asked their permission." he added

"Hyunjin."

He wiped his tears, "I realized that for me to be able to feel happiness in my life is to set you free– for you to be happy."

............

It was a fine day as I woke up from my long sleep after a very tiring day yesterday. I didn't have much time yesterday to get ready for bed as I got drunk after the whole party. I swear I wasn't expecting to get drunk but things happened– I was there to have fun with my friends.

"Oh gosh. Headache. I hate this one."

I just took a bath and wore an elegant dress for today as I was told that my family and I will be visiting the countryside. Someone warned me not to get drunk as we needed to go somewhere but I had no choice. Aina kept giving me drinks.

"Good morning–" maid

"Good morning. Is Felix already here?"

"He is in the library." the maid answered

"Thank you."

Felix agreed to be here as soon as he came home from another country. He left yesterday even before the party started to get some important things done. King Jacob asked him to do it as the King is in need for other duties as well.

As I entered the library, I saw Felix drinking coffee while reading a book held by his left hand. He looks really busy and invested with what he is reading.

"Why are you so invested in that book?"

A smile appeared on his face as he saw me standing by the door, "I just saw this here. How was your sleep?"

"It was fine. Hangover but I'll survive."

"Oh. How was the party?" Felix asked

"Everyone is so disappointed that you couldn't come."

Felix nodded, "Well, I had other things to do."

"I was joking, of course, they understand. How was your flight?"

"It was fine. I was asleep the whole time and didn't even notice at all." he answered as he stood up and walked towards me

"What?"

He then hugged me, "I missed you a lot."

"I missed you too–"

Our hug was interrupted when I heard two little girls screaming as they ran towards us and hugged Felix.

"Dad!" they screamed in unison

"Careful, girls." he said and kneeled to hug them both

"Mom didn't answer us the question because she was sleepy." Seorin said

"What question?"

"What happened with you and Dad after your friends got married?" Seohyun asked

"We started a new chapter."
