Chaerin's POV

I woke up as I heard a loud sound coming outside of my room. I wore my robe, did my morning routine, and came out of my room– Hyunjin accidentally dropped the pan on the floor.

"Are you mad?"

"I didn't mean it." he said

"What are you cooking?

"I made a sandwich with egg, vegetables, bacon, and mayonnaise in it." Hyunjin

"You mean gilgeori-toast?"

Hyunjin chuckled and nodded, "I also made kimchi jjigae. Do you want coffee or milk– uh.. You'll drink milk."

"What? Says by who?"

"Me." he answered and proceeded in making a milk

I just sat and watched him set the table. He even prepared a glass of water for me with a smile on his face which confused me. Is he annoying me or was that smile sincere?

"Are you gonna eat or stare at me until you fall in love?" he asked

"I'm gonna eat." I answered and started eating

Yesterday, when we got home, I went straight to my room and slept. He just woke me up to make me drink water, or would always monitor my vital signs which he learned from the nurse at the hospital. I think he is doing that every 4 hours.

After he told me about getting married to him, we never had the chance to talk about it anymore. It wasn't awkward at all but we chose not to open it up again to each other.

If I'm gonna ask myself about what he told me yesterday, I don't even know what to say. It wasn't the first time Hyunjin was so straightforward with what he wanted to say to me but that topic was so unexpected. It was really unexpected.

"Yesterday, you told me to get married to you."

He nodded and smiled, "Why? Are you finally deciding now that you don't want to let go of me and we should get married?"

"Crazy. I just want to know why you would decide all of a sudden. That was so unexpected. We never talked about that before. Why so sudden? And what's the reason?"

He didn't talk.

"Don't tell me you want to get married to me because you want me to forget about Felix? If that's the case, I don't want to get married at all. It's not that I don't want to forget about him but you shouldn't let me use you."

Hyunjin chuckled, "That's not why. I wanted to get married yesterday but that was yesterday. Then I realized that we don't need to get married if we don't want to. We're living like how a married couple does. Actually, we're doing better than them. Don't you think so?"

"We does better than them but you always annoy me–"

"It's because I want your attention. I want you to always notice me." Hyunjin

"Oh."

"I realized I needed you more than that marriage. That decision will eventually come down to you. It will depend on you."

I rolled my eyes.

Hyunjin stares at me with a serious expression, "Right now, I just want you to fall for me."

"You are crazy, Hwang Hyunjin."

"I am." he smirked

We finished our breakfast, he insisted on washing the dishes while I am sitting on the sofa waiting for him to finish. I was just on my phone and kept scrolling on my social media timeline.

It was full of articles and news about Aina and Felix's royal wedding which will happen next year. It does hurt, of course, it won't go away that easily. Felix and I had something special, and that special bond was built even though I knew about his wedding with Aina.

In my dream, Felix and I are not allowed to be together because he is a royal and I am not. Now that I am also a royal, another barrier happened. We are not allowed to be together because he is already destined to someone else. Someone better than me.

I didn't want to ruin what I had with Felix and Aina the other day. We all made up– we all talked about it and it was so casual. We didn't take it to heart and just accepted what was about to happen to us.

"You know I'm inlove with you, right?" he asked me and sat beside me

"What are you up to?"

He chuckled, "Can you please calm down and hear me out?"

I am just so done with him annoying me and would sometimes prank me. He would just laugh about it whenever he remembers, that's why I'm so done with him acting like he is so innocent. I swear if he is up to something, I would not hesitate to kick him off of this sofa.

"What is it?"

"I just thought that I really wanted to get married to you. Nothing will happen or change if we do. You and I will live everyday with the same routine." Hyunjin said

"We are going to be married legally on paper–"

"That's the point. So you won't be able to marry Felix even if you want to because you're still married to me." he chuckled

"You're crazy."

"Anyway, I'm going to be serious now." he said and showed me a box which has a ring on it, "Will you–"

"You're an asshole. No way. Are you being serious?"

He laughed, "This is a promise ring I got for you."

"For what?"

"Make a wish and I promise I will make that come true." he said

"I wish for you and I to be happy."
