"Lance Fuentes requested a friend request" kaya agad ko inaccept yung friend request ni cap.
Agad nag chat si Cap Lance sa akin. "Please see message request" sabi lang niya kaya agad ako nakita ang group na nakalagay na:
'Training pool of W.U. Men's Volleyball'
Kaya agad ko inaccept ang message request. Ito na official na talaga na isa ako sa mga nasa training pool ng volleyball. Chineck ko naman yung G.C. namin at halos nasa 25 kami na andoon. Training pool ito so bale macucut-off pa kami to make it 12 para magcompete sa coveted tittle sa collegiate rank. Tsaka hindi lang naman ito para sa darating na tournament kasi may sinasalihan din ang university na mga off-season tournament o kaya exhibition game.
"Please to all the newbie in the team see us tommorow 6 pm at the volleyball gym" chat ni Cap Lance sa gc kaya nagreact akong heart kasi hiya pa ako mag chat.
Inadd ko na rin si Yuki nung nakaraan. Nung nakita ko IG niya ay medjo nahiya ako sa followings niya dahil marami pala nakafollow sa kanya. Gwapo rin kasi si Yuki tsaka sikat siya sa high school volleyball kasi nagpapalarong pambasa siya at madami rin siya nakukuhang awards kaya projected ko mas lalo pa sisikat si Yuki once makapasok siya sa collegiate tournament.

After ng klase ko sa hapon ay dumiretso na ako sa gym para sa meeting namin.
"Hi" kaway ko kay Yuki at Patrick na kasalakuyang nagkwekwentuhan kasama yung iba naming bagong recruit.
"Pakilala ka" sabi ni Patrick sa akin.
"Hi ako nga pala si Hans" pakilala ko tapos nagpakilala sila isa-isa sa akin. Kaya nakipag kwentuhan na rin ako sa kanila to get to know them.
"Please line up" andito na pala sila Cap and coach kaya sumunod na kami agad.
"So I called this meeting to formally introduce the coaching staff and some rules within the team"
"So to start off I am Jesus Hugo you can call me coach Jesus I will be the one training you" tumingin sa amin si coach isa-isa. "With me is the coaching staff. We have two assistant coaches, coach Cholo and coach Ivy. They will help me in training you and monitoring your progress" kumaway sila coach sa amin.
"Also we have our resident Physical Therapist Steve" pakilala ni coach sa taong nasa tabi niya.
"Hello you can call me PT Steve at your service"
"Additionally we have our dietitian Mark"
"Hi everyone you can call me Doc Mark"
"Our sport psychologist Doc. Ana"

"Lastly our student assistant Hanna if you have problems with your academic unit or when you have concern pertaining to us you can talk to her" kumaway naman ang babae. "Hi you can call me ate Hanna"
Alam mong hindi biro yung collegiate competition na sasalihan namin with all of the staff na meron ang team namin. Noong high school ako ay si coach Pido lang ang meron ang team ngayon may dietitian pa kami and PT. You know that we are well taken care of.
"Also I will discuss the scholarship and dorm privilege niyo and other perks " dito ako interesado e kasi alam kong may perks ang pagiging athletes sa university.
"Una you will be scholar of this university but you need to maintain a certain GWA to get an athlete scholarship but if you fail not only you will loose this privilege, you will also be taken out of the team or be in provision" lumunok ako sa huling sinabi kasi kinakabahan ako lalo na't mahirap ipagsabay yung pagiging athlete at student. "You should know student first then athlete after".
"In terms of dorm there are dorm that is provided in each team. You can choose stay there and pwede umuwi ng bahay in weekend or pag walang pasok. You can also choose umuwi sa bahay niyo basta don't be late sa practice but when the season start you need to stay on the dorm because we have an early morning jogging and late night trainings" mahabang sabi ni coach. "Other perks include allowance from the sponsor of the team. Spend your money wisely" paalala ni coach.
"I think I already covered all so your this year captain Lance will have something to say to you" lumapit si Cap Lance sa harapan
"Hello everyone I am Lance Fuentes, 5th year Open Hitter and this year's captain and you can call me Captain or Kuya which ever you are comfortable" pakilala ni Cap Lance. "I hope that this year we will have a fruitful season. For now we aim to get Westwood University from its former glory with your help. I see that we will have a bright future because I have faith in your skills that's why you are here." speech ni Cap sa amin.
Kala ko talaga seryosong tao si Cap Lance pero nafeel ko sa kanya yung brotherly love with his speech.
"We have to establish rules in our team. First is don't be late because every late have punishment so beware. Second be teachable, always follow our coaches. Third and the important one is have fun. We are already a family here so dont hesitate to ask question in sports or academics" tumatango-tango kami.
"So bukas tayo mag-uumpisa ng training and after class siya so mga 7 pm to 9 pm" dagdag niya. "So if you want to avail the dorm perks please message our co-captain Kim"
"Let me inform you that we will have a week of welcoming you" medjo creepy ngiti ni Cap Lance. "Don't you worry it wont be hard. It is a tradition of ours in welcoming our rookies"
"Then lastly we invite you to go a bar with us. It will mark our first team bond. Hope you join us and we already informed the coaches about it" tumango naman so Coach
"But drink responsibly and watch your diet kids" paalala ni Doc Mark
"That's all and you are now dismissed" ngiti ni Coach kaya umalis na rin ako.

After ko umuwi ay diniscuss ko kay kela mama kung ano yung sinabi nila coach sa amin including dorm. Nagpagpasyahan ko rin kasi na mag dorm na para mas efficient umuwi from practice and I don't need to commute. Sobrang habang diskusyon yung nangyari pero after awhile ay pumayag na sila mama. Naiiyak pa si mama kala mo sobrang layo nung school pero gets ko naman na for the first time ay mahihiwalay ako sa kanya.
Kinabukasan ay I already gathered what I will bring to the dorm including my laptop of course and kasama ko sila mama at papa mag-impake dahil ihahatid nila ako sa dorm.
"Kumain ka nang maayos anak ha" paalala ni mama sa akin. Nasa doorstep na kami ng dorm.
"Yes po ma" ngiti ko
"Huwag puro de lata at pancit canton kainin mo may mga karinderya rito kumain ka ng lutong bahay tsaka mag-aral ka mabuti" nakikita kong nanggigilid na luha ni papa pero alam kong pinipigilan niya umiyak kasi once na umiyak siya ay iiyak si mama.
"Opo pa and uuwi naman ako sa atin tuwing weekends o pag di busy para kumuha ng mga supplies" tawa ko
"Sige lang anak paglutuan din kita ng mga pagkain tapos init mo na lang"
"Sige na mama at papa its getting late na" tumingin ako sa relo ko
"Oh sige una na kami"
"Ingat kayo" humalik ako sa cheeks nila at hindi ako pumasok hanggang hindi sila nakakaalis.
Eto na talaga ang umpisa ng pagiging student-athlete and I can't wait for the new challenges await me.
