"Mother, is this correct?"

"Oh my, did you write this, Charl?"

I nodded down as my mother-Agatha Augmund stared at the parchment where I wrote my own name on. Well, the ones used here for writing stuff were parchments made from animal skins. If not, there's something similar to papyrus so yeah... it's classic and medieval indeed.

Her flaxen hair swayed, her sky blue pupils widened then mother put the parchment on the dining table. Then she hugged me with full force! It hurts...!?

"My lovely daughter is a genius...! Yes yes, you did an excellent job, Charlotte!!" Mother said in high-spirit.

Before long, I became a teddy bear plush doll and mother doted on me like heck. Even the level of cuddling was over 9000! I suffered in exhaustion until mother remembered she had to finish cooking dinner.

Good job, dinner time!! I will always respect your effort in helping me from killed by this beautiful lady who is my mother!!

I waited for mother by sitting in a chair at the dining room, then I glanced and marveled at the majesty of the Manor. I still can't believe this place is my current home in this Second Life...

Three years had passed ever since I was reborn. I have been trying to get used to my new body and I learned a few things that interested me like a toddler would. To sum it up, I'm growing up as a girl with a girlish name as well. What? I know that I can't complain about my name but 'Charlotte Augmund; is a bit... Heck. It's not even Japanese anymore!

Anyway, I was born in a Nobility Household in a backwater frontier village. It's located near the borderline of a kingdom named Aeinsland with the name 'Bluesnake'. There's nothing much here except a big wide blue river looking like a blue snake from afar. Apparently, the name was taken from the river because it looked like scales of a serpent if morning sunlight shone upon it.

Next, I'm not a healthy child. Not that I lived an unhealthy lifestyle but my body is inferior to my previous body. Of course genders have the main factors but it's also because I'm not immune to illnesses. More like... I'm plagued with various illnesses.

I exhaled once I remembered all the high fevers which filled most of my memories in this Manor. To be honest, I was in tight spots whenever my illness relapsed. Not even the village's best doctor could cure me or in other words...

Not even Healing Magic mother usually boasted about could cure me.

And yes, it's MAGIC...! I couldn't believe it at first but there's magic in this world!! I was super excited once I saw mother throwing a fireball into the fireplace without any tool or trick!! She could even do chantless spells!!

Not only that... my mother-Agatha Augmund is a professional mage! I heard she was a famous Adventurer before she married father but my point is mothers are awesome!! They seemed like super humans at times and I'm a child of one!! I can't help feeling excited as I thought of the day where I could make a storm with a wave of hands.

But-waiting isn't in my dictionary and so I sneaked into the library in the Manor to research about magic beforehand. Who knows if I could have my mana supply increased but when I realized I couldn't read the words... I decided to master the language for the recent couple of years.

"Hm... since I can write my name now I guess it's an improvement," I put a hand under my chin. " I want to use magic and explore dungeons..."

As I muttered, I heard mother's voice asking me to help in carrying the dishes. I replied with a resounding "YES!" while trying not to strain myself. Then I went to the kitchen.
