A Wild Stampede

Meggy stands with one of her splatfest friends looking at the arena. "Iv'e got my work cut out for me alright. This competition is surely going to be our biggest one yet."

He nodded and said "Yeah but too big for you to handle on your own."

"Huh?"

He pointed to his wrist "Iv'e sprained my wrist and I got word from the rest of our team that they have too much work to be done." Meggy thought for a second and said "Oh...well how about you rest up while I train myself. I haven't met a competition that I didn't win ever!" She slapped his wrist pretty hard and he winced. "Oops sorry..." He rubbed his wrist and said "I'm just worried you might be bitting off more than you can chew." Meggy looked at him offended. "Are you saying that my I'm making promises I can't keep?"

"Yes."

"EXCUSE ME! This is your friend Meggy you're talking about. The most athletic and dependable of friends!"

"But still only one person and no single person as ever beaten a splatfest competition on their own."

"I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY! I SAID I'M GOING TO WIN AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M GOING TO DO! I'M GOING TO WIN THAT TROPHY ALL BY MYSELF!!!"

Meggy stopped. She realized what she had just said. She gulped. It was true. Not a single person had ever won a splatfest competition all by theirselves.

A little while later...

Meggy had set up a bunch of training equipment and had picked out all her best weapons that she used over the years. She took a look at it all and said "Well I'd better get started. No pain no gain Meggy!" She went to grab a dumbbell till suddenly the ground began to shake. She dropped the dumbbell on her foot. "OW!" Meggy's curiosity got the better of her and she rushed off to go investigate.

Things weren't looking so well in the Mushroom Kingdom either as Three was standing on a hill narrowing his eyes to make out something that caught his eye. A cloud of smoke seemed to be getting closer and closer. He suddenly knew why the ground was shaking. He turned around and yelled "STAMPEDE!!!" Sure enough a bunch of cattle were heading right towards the kingdom. All the citizens started freaking out running into houses and shutting the doors. One guy even made a car appear out of a thin air. "SOMEONE DO SOME-" Before the poor soul who was screaming could get another word out they got run over by the car. Chaos. Absolute Chaos.

Mario was not helping either. He just stood there, letting the ground move him while laughing. "Heeyyy tttthhhhiiiisss mmmaaaakkkeeesss Mmmmaarrriiooo'sss vvvoooiiiccceee sooouunnnddd ssiiiilllyyy!"

"MARIO ARE YOU CRAZY! RUN!" Four just ran around screaming like a girl. "What are we going to do?" Melony cried out. "Would you idiots stop freaking out and look over there." Three said pointed to someone following the cattle. They all looked and saw Meggy and her pet cat, Loaf chasing the cattle. "Loaf! Quick to the other side." The cat slowly obeyed as he wasn't known for having the same energy as Meggy.

Melony shut her eyes while Mario ate popcorn replying "This is the best rodeo show Mario has ever seen!" Four just rolled his eyes at Mario's stupidity. Loaf and Meggy got onto some cattle and Meggy directed the attention to the leading cow. She then used some rope she gathered to turn the cow and the cattle with it, making sure not to harm any of them. The others all watched and celebrated when Meggy had saved them.

The sun was setting as Meggy stood behind it waving to them as Loaf followed. Mario suddenly got inspired as he put on a cowboy hat and started teasing the others with a country accent. "That sure was nice of Meggy to save us." Tari replied "Maybe we should do something to show our appreciation."

Mario suddenly got and idea.
