A Most Wonderful Night

"THE GRAND GASTBY GALA IS TONIGHT! MARIO'S GOING TO RUB SHOULDERS WITH THE FAT CATS!"

Mario was jumping all over the place, obsessing over the big event and shouting "WAHOO!" multiple times. Ever since Four had gotten those invitations from Smg1 and Smg2, his friends were waiting patiently for the day to finally come...except for Mario.

~Flashback~

Luigi was getting some breakfast when Mario popped out of the fridge and said "Is it time to go to the party yet?" Luigi shook his head and said "Sorry Mario. The Grand Gatsby Gala isn't for 3 weeks." Mario rolled on the floor, whining "But Mario wants to eat spaghetti and all his favorite foods..."

"Try finding something else to take your mind off it." Mario got up and pointed at his brother in annoyance. "How do you know!? You're not even coming!" He ran out the door to go pester somebody else. "Mamma mia..."

"Mario can you stop bouncing around and shouting! I'm trying to call our ride!" Melony came by the castle with all of the dresses and suits she had made for her and the others. "Melony! Thank goodness! Can you please get this fatso to stop bugging me!" She instantly saw the mustached man going crazy and tried to calm him down. "Mario don't you want to put on your new suit?" He wasn't listening so she tried to catch him and pat his head to calm him down.

She then noticed that her, Mario, and Four were the only ones out here. "Where are the others? Aren't we going together?" Just then, Meggy, Tari, and Three were walking behind her, right on cue. "Relax melon girl. We're here."

A dial tone was then heard as Four looked like he was going to throw his phone in frustration. "Bad news. The Uber driver I called can't make it today." Groans and sighs of disappointments were heard from the others when Peach came out with Toadsworth. "You're in luck guys. I was invited to the gala as well and Toadsworth offered to take us in my new carriage."

"Yippee!" Mario cheered. She looked over at Mario and said "You're walking." The smile on his face slipped into a frown and he yelled out "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

~Later~

Everyone was getting ready in the castle while Mario was playing with the hair dryer. He cranked it up so high that it knocked him into the wall. A pounding began disrupting their dress up time with a familiar sounding voice. "LET ME IN!" Three rolled his eyes and said "Can somebody let that hobo in before he breaks the door down." Melony quickly denied. "We can't now! We're getting dressed!"

Meggy rubbed her shoulder in awkwardness. "Well...actually were all changing in front of each other. I mean look at Peach. She was humming, putting on an extra long gown and fixing her gloves. She had to admit that Meggy had a point and politely invited Bob in. "Sorry about that. What do you need?"

He walked over to a table and picked up his gold chain and sunglasses. "THIS DRIP! ALL THE LADIES ARE GOING TO BE ALL OVER BOB AT THE GALA!" Soon Boopkins came running in. Since when was he invited to the gala? "And the best part is we're all going to spend it together!" He looked back and forth and said "OH YEAH. I ALSO INVITED BOOPKINS."

Three winced and said "Yeah....I'm going to be doing better things than hanging out with you losers all night." Melony came up to the fish and said "Even though Three's being mean, I have to agree."

"OI!"

Meggy was brushing Tari's hair (gently so she wouldn't hurt her) and grimaced. "We're all going to be a little busy." Mario, who had apparently recovered from the crash, cheered "EATING SPAGHETTI!" Boopkins sighed and said "Okay..."

Four smiled and said "Don't worry Boopkins. We'll all have some time together."

"Hooray!" Everyone piled into the carriage while Toadsworth was wearing a handsome suit. Boopkins was about to get in when Bob shoved him aside. "HELL YEAH! HERE COMES THE CHICK PICKER UPPER!"
