Babysitting Disaster

Tari had set up a bed for all three of the kids to sleep in. As she tucked them in, Zack piped up "Were not tiiirrreeeddd. Let us stay uppppp plleeeaaasssseee." This poor babysitting Tari forced to listen to the shrill shrieking of pleading kids. She got an idea and said "How about I sing you a lullaby?" Thankfully, the kids agreed to that. Tari sang in a soft and quiet voice that would surely make anybody sleepy. It seemed to be working as one of them started to yawn. That was until Katie wanted to sing as well.

"How lovely. Why don't you sing it with me?" The other two instantly covered their ears as the house was soon filled with the raspy screaming of Katie's lullaby voice.

"HUSH NOW! QUIET NOW! IT'S TIME TO LAY YOUR SLEEPY HEAD! I SAID HUSH NOW! QUIET NOW! IT'S TIME TO GO TO BEEEDDD!!!"

"Um okay...that was..."

"DRIFTING OFF TO SLEEP! THE EXCITING DAY BEHIND YOU! DRIFTING OFF TO SLEEP! LET THE JOY OF DAYLIGHT FIND YOOOOOUUUUU!!!"

"Okay thank you Katie but-"

"HUSH NOW! QUIET NOW! LAY YOUR SLEEPY HEAD! I SAID HUSH NOW! QUIET NOW! IT'S TIME TO GO TO BEEEEEDDDDDD!!!"

The commotion was so loud that the ducks outside in Tari's pond were woken up from their slumber. The kids got out of bed and rushed out to the window when quacks of terror were heard. Tari had looked away for just a second to make sure nothing was broken from the high pitch when the turned to see that all three of the kids were gone. She peeked out the window and Katie said "The ducks escaped! I wonder what could have....caused that." She sweated nervously while the other two glared at her.

"Don't worry. We'll fix this." Zack said as all three zoomed off and ran around, making the ducks more traumatized than they already were. Tari bolted outside and tried to get everything under control. When she couldn't bear to hurt a fly, another option seemed like the only one left. "STOP!" The commanding voice worked as everyone froze. She gathered up all her ducks and brought them to the pond. She pointed to the water, trying to get the waddling feet to stir.

Her eyes then went into a ferocious stare as the ducks then obeyed her every order. The kids were in awe as she sighed and said "Now let's all just go to bed." The kids seemed too admit defeat as they all willingly went back inside, but once Tari left the room, their eyes peeked open and they decided what to do next.

"Hey look!" Zack pointed outside as Cory and Katie caught sight of a missing duck. Duck tracks led from the pond into the forest. An adventure like this couldn't be passed up as they all sneaked downstairs to find a restful Tari on the couch downstairs. They managed to stealthily get past her as she was telling herself "That wasn't too hard. I just had to show them who's in charge. I'm good with my ducks and I'm good with kids."

That one line became false as she had let Karen's beloved kids slip away into a spooky forest under the blackness of night. Tari was still enjoying the peace and quiet...too quiet. She instantly ran upstairs in realization that something was amid as she opened the door to find not one living being. She rushed outside when she too discovered "Quackingtion is missing!" Her beloved duck and the three kids that were her responsibility were now lost in the forest.

Even though it gave her a fright, she admiringly had to go in to save them. Taking a huge breath, she mustered the courage and stepped into the forest. "I have definitely bitten off more than I can chew."
