Deep into the Forest

Boopkins raced into the forest as fast as his small feet would take him. He suddenly heard a squeaking voice that shouted "Stop!" He looked up to see Meggy, climbing up on his head. "Turn around right now Boopkins!" Instead of following Meggy's orders he picked her up and put her on a branch that was surrounded by thorns. "Sorry Meggy, but this is for your own good." He then took off again to find Desti. The small girl was outraged as a bunch of squeaky, shouting noises ensued.

"BOOPKINS COME BACK RIGHT NOW! I'M GOING TO TELL ON YOU!" That tactic proved to be a failure as Boopkins didn't return and her voice was starting to get a little hoarse. Meggy then realized that she was stuck as the branch was very high from her point of view and those thorns looked really sharp. "Aw great."

Back on the outskirts of the forest, the others raced in to save their friends. "C'mon guys! We have to get to Egad's quickly!" Melony was trying her best to keep up, but she eventually tripped on her long hair, getting twigs and leaves stuck in it. "Wait for me losers!" Three crashed into a bush while on his pursuit and rolled right into the thorns. Meggy opened her eyes to find that she was saved. "Three thank goodness! There's no time to lose!" She climbed up on top of him and grabbed his hair.

"Hey! You can't just-" Meggy yanked on his hair, causing him to stand up. Three was falling backwards, but Meggy corrected it. "No Three. The other way." While those two had some trouble with navigating, Four, Mario, Melony, and Tari had made it to Egad's lab. "Oh no. I look horrible." Mario lifts up her hair while saying "Tizz paaccee loocsss hoorrrbbblle!" Melony's eyes widened. Desti lived in a lab that had some giant machines and inventions that could... The crew peaked through the window to look inside. "Creepy." The inside was strewn with a bunch more devices and a counter filled with beakers, but it was musty and old so the others couldn't really tell.

They gasped and ducked down when they saw Egad walk in without his hood on. He took some weird ingredient and dumped it into one of his beakers while reciting some strange words. Mario got up and started shouting "heeee sooollleee mmmaaaiiiiooooosss sooooggggg!"

"He stole your song?" Melony asked. Four just shook his head. "It doesn't sound anything like your song Mario." Mario nodded defintantly, but needed someone to sing his little tune. He went down to his knees in front of Tari and put on his best puppy dog eyes. Tari's innocence took over as she sighed and sang in her deep voice. "He's an evil scientist and makes evil creations. And if you look at in his nerd glasses he'll zap you with lazers. Then what will you do? He'll take all the lighting and turn you into a big ugly zombie sooooo watch out."

Melony turned to Four and asked him "You saw those terrible things. Now do you believe us?" Four thought for a second. "Scary devices, confusing chanting, and a big boiling potion..."

"I guess everything is pointing to Egad being bad." He was just about to side with them until he thought of a better perspective. "Or maybe he's just making medicine." Mario groaned and tuned grumpy. What would it take to convince this guy? Not much as what followed certainly gave him a fright. Egad looked up from his pot and said in his superior voice "The perfect temperature. Just right for those little friends. Now where is Boopkins?" Four gasped as a more terrifying thought entered his mind. "Or what if he's experimenting with Boopkins!"

The other three sat in silence and shared a glance before they screamed their heads off. Just then, Three and Meggy appeared in time. "Hold tight Boopkins! We're coming!" Three crashed right through the door, startling Desti as the man's curse made him smash into a bunch of decor lying around. As Egad shouted a bunch of gibberish, the door burst open with the others ready to confront him. "What have you done with Boopkins!"

Meggy jumped off of Three and tried to attack Egad, tackling the small white hair on his head.  Egad was confused and irritated as he asked them "What the heck is going on here!?" What happened next really got his blood boiling. Three had crashed right into the counter, spilling out all of the beaker's contents. "NO! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! YOU SPILLED MY POTION!" Four didn't feel a bit of remorse as he confronted him, not holding back. "We're on to you Egad! I didn't want to believe that you cursed us, but the evidence is overwhelming!"

Melony blew her hair out of the way and said "You gave me long hair!" Tari spoke after her, replying "You made my voice deep." Mario tried to confront Egad, but all that came out was "pfff phhhttt ptttttt!"

"You ruined my powers!" Four continued. Egad was outraged. "HOW DARE YOU! YOU DESTROY MY HOME AND WORK, THEN ACCUSE ME OF BEING A JERK!?" Three, finally being able to regain some balance, yelled "You put this curse on us! Now uncurse us right now!" Egad stomps his foot really hard, but his volume simmers down. "You better watch what you say. Your actions make me want to explode!" Four didn't care on what he was doing. "Where is Boopkins!" Just when things couldn't escalate any further... "Hey Egad! I got the things that you asked for."
