It was a Surprise all along

Inside, there were colorful streamers, balloons, presents, and even a delicious looking cake, similar to Mario's party. His friends were all wearing party hats and cheered "SURPRISE!" Mario's expression went soft for a moment, but it turned back to a grimace as Three pushed him inside. The others smiled at him until noticing that he was just scowling at them. Tari whispered to Meggy "I thought he would be more excited..." That made him lose the silent treatment.

"Excited!? Why would Mario be excited to attend his farewell party!" Four looked confused. "Farewell party?"

"YES! YOU DON'T LIKE MARIO ANYMORE SO YOU DECIDED TO KICK HIM OUT OF THE CREW AND THROW A PARTY TO CELEBRATE! A MARIO FAREWELL PARTY!" He faced away from them and tried to hold back tears. Meggy placed a hand on his shoulder and asked "Why would you think we don't like you anymore Red?" He slapped her hand off and spun around. How dare they act like they don't know.

"Why!?"

"Why!?"

"Why!?"

Mario lost it and screamed "BECAUSE EVERYONE HAD BEEN LYING AND AVOIDING MARIO ALL DAY! THAT'S WHY!" Three leaned on the counter and smirkingly said "Yeah. We were trying to make your party a surprise." Melony came up to him and explained "We've been planning this party for such a long time that we had to make excuses on why we couldn't attend your spaghetti's party so we could set up this one."

Four looked over at Luigi and said "If this is a farewell party then why does the cake that Luigi baked say Happy Birthday Mario?" He frowned. Observing the presents on a side table, a big banner, and the beautifully decorated cake that was homemade by Luigi, he finally realized why everyone had been acting so strange.

Mario instantly shifted back to his happy, stupid self. "It's Mario's birthday! How could he have forgot!?" He gathered his friends into a big embrace and they all breathed a sigh of relief. He admired all the decorations and said "You like Mario so much that you threw a surprise party for him!"

Melony smiled and said "That's what we've been trying to tell you." Mario jumped up and down, yelling "Mario has the best friends ever!" He then hung his head in guilt. "Why did Mario ever doubt his friends..."

"It's okay Mario! We don't blame you." Smg4 comforted him. Three chuckled and said "I'm just glad I wasn't replaced by some stupid beat up bucket." Four raised his eyebrow. "Huh?" Mario put his hands up in defense and Three whispered to him "You don't want to know."

"Alright let's get started!" Meggy cheered. The music started and Mario began dancing along with his brother as they started a "Do the Mario" dance competition.

Four went over to a table and wrote his letter. "Dear Smg1 and Smg2, I am writing to you from my best friend's party. I'm not only having a great time with my friends, but also given the opportunity to learn that you should always expect the best from your friends and never assume the worst. Your friends always have the best interests at heart. Your faithful meme guardian, Smg4."

After finishing, he joined a conga line with all his friends and Mario was leading the pack. "Mario's friends wouldn't mind finishing the party for Mario's spaghetti party. His spaghetti was pretty upset the party was cut short." They all agreed until Mario wondered where that pet of hi had got too. Back at his home, the plate of spaghetti was sitting on the table while the inanimate objects lied on the floor.
