Party gone wrong

Everyone was gathered for the party and mingling all around Boopkins. Luigi tried Mario's spaghetti, but it was so bad that he got food poisoning. Bob had already set up his stage and was bragging about how good he was at rapping. Boopkins ducked behind the stairs and peeked out.

How could he have forgotten the time? How could he have forgotten that Smg4 was hosting the party? How could he have forgotten it was at Peach's castle? Mario stuck a party hat on him and said "Come on! Mario's going to play some games!" Boopkins hid behind a cake and whispered to himself "I have to get out of here before anybody sees me."

He just couldn't make his presence known when he had found nothing he was good at. "HEY!" Boopkins froze as Swag made his way towards the cake. "CHRIS, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS CAKE!" Chris examined it and thought Swag was being an idiot. "Nothing is wrong with it."

"NO CHRIS! THERE WAS A BIG GREEN BOOGER BY THE CAKE!" Boopkins slipped away as the two men were arguing and hid behind some balloons. Not five seconds later, one balloon after another was popped. A goomba and koopa were throwing darts at them, causing Boopkins to jump out of the way. A dart bounced off him and hit Frankie, who was walking in the background. "That tickles."

Boopkins made it close enough to a table with punch that he slid under the tablecloth. "Almost there." He nudged the table as hard as he could, but it was making a bunch of squeaking sounds. Despite this, he was still able to make it to the door and was about to walk through until...

"Boopkins! You came!" Meggy pushed Boopkins away from the door and started monologging. "After what happened with JubJub I was worried you weren't coming. I'm so glad to see that you finally came to your senses. If you just try to rush things, it will drive you crazy. Now let's go hang out with our friends." Boopkins freaked out as the others came over to say hello to him and Meggy. 

All he could do in that moment was cover his eyes with his hands. Like that was going to do anything. Bob looked over at the fish and said "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY SHOWED UP. DID YOU FIND A TALENT?" Boopkins looked around nervously and said "O-o-oh yeah! I found a talent!"

"Really?" Three asked. "Since when?" Boopkins was still sweating like crazy. "Since um.. earlier today!" Bob was still suspicious as he remarked "THEN LET'S SEE IT!" Boopkins couldn't come up with anything so he made up an excuse instead. "I shouldn't! My talent is so amazing that I worry that everyone will pay attention to me instead of you guys." Bob didn't want his fans to be driven away from his talent so he crossed his arms and said "PSHH. FORGET IT! I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE IT ANYWAY!"

Boopkins finally saw his chance to hightail it out of there as he waved and walked off. "Alright, well I'm going to go. Enjoy the party!" He breathed a sigh of relief, but accidentally slammed into  a dj booth. It collapsed onto the table of food, sending it all splattering against the walls and floors. Mario's spaghetti was ruined too as Mario called out "NOOOOO! MY BABBBBEEEEEEE!"

He rushed over to look at the sad remains, but tripped and crashed into Bob's stage. "NO!" Bob and Mario were kneeling down to look at the sad remains while Four just stood in shock of all the decorations ruined.

Boopkins didn't move an inch as Bob turned around slowly.
