It was a pretty slow day for the two friends, Meggy and Three. With no upcoming splatfest championships for Meggy and no streams scheduled for Three, Meggy had decided to invite him over for a game of horseshoes. Three was up as his first throw got pretty close to the stake. "Wow. Not bad for someone who works at a computer all day." Three shoved the horseshoe into Meggy's hands and said "Think you can do better squid."

"I know I can." Meggy replied back as she threw her horseshoe, but it landed just a little further from Three's. "Oh for crying out loud." Three was snickering a little bit as he bragged "Looks like this streamer can throw better than the splatfest girl." Meggy rolled her eyes and tried to shrug it off. "Alright. Alright. You have another throw there." Three tossed his horseshoe a little too far this time as it flew over the stake and crashed.

"What did you say about you throwing again?" Meggy said while raising an eyebrow. "Yeah sure. I still have the closest throw though. Just try and beat it." Meggy grabbed her last horseshoe, took a deep breath, and threw it. They both watched as the horseshoe landed right around the stake. "YES! I WON!" Three was still staring in shock.

"You okay Three?" His mouth started to grimace and his eyes looked disappointed. "I lost." Meggy tried to cheer him up by saying "Don't feel bad. his was all in good fun." Three turned to her and made it perfectly clear "I hate losing." Three always hated being beaten by his ex-rival, but to be beaten by the inkling turned human that he was friends with...

"You're actually pretty good at sports. I'm just better." She walked away confidently. That was quite brave of her for rubbing her pride in Three's face like that. "Alright squid girl! You think you're the best athlete!"

Meggy looked back at him and said "Well I was going to say that I am the best athlete in all of history, but that might be pushing it a bit." Three stopped her and said "Well then prove it!" She got a little curious for what Three was proposing. "What exactly are you saying?"

"I challenge you to competition. A series of events that will prove who is the best once and for all." Meggy thought for a second and then looked at him with a determined expression. "You know what Three? You're on!" They then shook hands with each other. The deal was set.

While Three was getting the dead memes to put the challenge together, Meggy had invited Four and Bob over. They were walking down the path as Four asked "So you guys are doing what?" Meggy was about to answer, but Three just turned around and glared. "A athletic completion idiot." Meggy just shook her head as she tried to explain it to them. "See we're setting up all these events to prove who is the best athlete." Once again Three interrupted with his own little response. "And we all know who that's going to be."

Four was still a little confused on what his purpose was. "And what am I here for?" Three was about to respond while lifting a finger, but stopped. "Yeah. Why is he here? He isn't even athletic." Meggy and Four ignored that insult as she said "We need a judge to keep score."

"Right. When you're done with that, tell my twitch fans. This is going to make me so popular." They both looked at him, unimpressed. "Fine." Bob piped up "I'M GOING TO BE THE ANNOUNCER!" He ran off to go look for a microphone. "Bob! This isn't a stadium you know!" They watched him run away as Four facepalmed. "I'll go get a timer." he said in annoyed tone.

Meggy and Three looked behind them to see the memes had finished. It was almost time for the competition.
