I was getting ready for the Christmas party with my family. To be honest, the Christmas party at Gavino's wasn't really what I had expected or wanted.
They kind of acted like acquaintances instead of family. But I was so excited to hang out with my family.
Luna was laying next to me on the carpet. She was so cute and I was so happy that Gavino had actually gotten me a cat. Her black fur was so soft and she was just purring as I patted her.

Gavino entered our bedroom and looked at me with a smile. "You ready?" he asked and I nodded.
I stood up and grabbed his hand. We walked downstairs and soon we were at my grandparents house.
My grandmother greeted us by the door. She hugged me and I smiled. Then she looked at Gavino but he smiled at her so she gave him a hug too.
"How was the honeymoon?" she asked and smiled at me.
"It was lovely, Abuela," I answered and she nodded.
"Good."
Noemi ran up to me and hugged me. We hadn't seen her when we stopped by the house when we arrived so I hadn't seen her in over three weeks. I held her tight and she smiled as we let go. "I've heard rumors about you two being in love," Noemi said and I smiled.
"Luca?" I questioned and she nodded. "They're true."
She gasped and hugged me again. Then she grabbed my hand and led me over to where the others were. I smiled at Hugo and he smiled back. Samuel, Luca and Gavino were speaking and they had a serious expression on their faces.
But I sat down and started talking to Noemi and Laia. Soon Gavino joined me and he looked happy.
"May I have everyone's attention?" my grandfather spoke and everyone looked over at him. "The scavenger hunt is beginning shortly. But first I wanted to explain the rules for the newbies." He looked over at Gavino and I smiled.
"You will get text messages with clues and your goal is to find your gift from my wife and I. If you can't find it within an hour, you don't get a gift. You can't take another persons gift and you can't get help or help another player. Everyone ready? Your clues will come out in two minutes," my grandfather explained and I looked over at Gavino who stared at me with widened eyes.
