*Pov Alora*
Nothing. And I mean nothing..... would have prepared me for this. The thought of him just diminishing like a flicker of light on a candle. One minute it's there and the next.... it's gone. No way of relighting it, just watching the smoke rise up like the thoughts on my aching heart.
The hooded man reached up, throwing his hood back to reveal himself. The lump in my throat constricting my breath.
"FOR MERLIN'S SAKE RELAX! ITS JUST ME!"
Garreth stepped into the light, revealing his boyish and happy grin.
The butterflies in my stomach falling dead. I wanted to pinch myself for being so stupid. To actually think it could have been him.
"Good grief Weasley, you scared us half to death. Ever think about knocking?" Anne said, finding her footing again as she stepped away from Ominis.
"Now where's the fun in that. But anyway, I couldn't wait, this storm is absolutely horrid."
I rolled my eyes, finding my seat again at the table.
Garreth made his way towards me, throwing his jacket on the back of the chair. The sprinkles of rain flicking on me as it sprayed my cheeks.
I glared at him.
"Alora." He said warmly.
"Weasley." I said, wiping away the spot from my cheek.
"Sorry." He said taking a seat across from me.
Ominis followed in pursuit, coming to sit to my right.
"When did you get here Ominis?" Garreth asked.
"This morning actually."
Garreth bit on the insides of his cheek as Anne placed a few cups in front of us. Filled with hot tea, the steam rising as it was just poured.
It was quiet... to quiet, and I started to wonder who was going to break first.
Anne sighed, "Oh come on, let's get this over with....... Ominis, Garreth knows."
Ominis white eyes looked up from his cup confused.
My leg started to vigorously tap against the floor, anxious and waiting for the blow up.
"What are you talking about?" Ominis asked.
More silence.
Garreth looked up. Taking a quick swig of his hot tea, clearly burning himself, trying to distract himself for saying anything.
Anne starred me down, trying to get me to spill.
"Fucking fine........... Ominis, Garreth met us in London. He.... took us to the Ministry."
Ominis eyes wandered the table, hearing him gulp down his own tea slowly. Setting the cup back on the table.
"Okay and?"
I huffed a breath I had been holding. Knowing I had to bite the bullet.
"He knows Sebastian is in trouble, and he....... well, I saw him in the Ministry. Sebastian is being held there till his trial. It will be in two days-"
"You saw him?!? How in bloody hell-"
"Knew this was going to go over well-" Garreth sarcastically said.
I breathed deeply, "He's okay! Well until I nearly tried blasting his door off the hinges..."
"You did what!" Garreth said surprised.
