*Ominis POV*

9 Years Later

"Congratulations Garreth." I said, shaking his hand in acknowledgement.

The sound of the bubbled caldrons around the room filled the room with its aroma.

"Thank you, it's been a long time coming but I'm glad my permit finally came through."

"Well, you should be very proud of yourself. Not every day do you see another potions shop open in Hogsmeade!"

I could tell he was shining brightly, Garreth's cheeks red from all the embracement and recognition he was getting. Soon enough school would be starting up again, the students of Hogwarts would be filling in this store, grabbing all their supplies to have an achievable year.

"Thank you, my friend. Where is Anne? I haven't seen her-"

"She's at home, it's her birthday today and she's been decorating since dawn. You two do plan on coming by, right?"

Garreth smiled, feeling an arm come around him as Poppy's bright brown eyes and warm smile came into focus.

"We wouldn't miss it Ominis. We'll come just after closing."

I nodded to the both of them.

"Very well, I'll see you both then!"

"More like see you at school! I heard you accepted the position as the next professor of defense against the dark arts!" Poppy said excitedly.

"Ominis that's fantastic! Congratulations! Where is the champagne when you need it!"

I flushed, not knowing the information had already been released. I hadn't even had the opportunity to tell Anne yet.

"Thank you...... I- um didn't even realize it had been broadcasted yet."

"Oh come on, it's not like many secrets can be kept around that place."

I smiled, remembering such good memories.

"So, I'll see you at the first meeting then, you're still teaching the whole Beast thing-"

Poppy rolled her eyes at me, "Of course I am Ominis. Do you honestly think I'd teach anything else?"

I chuckled, "I guess you're right. Well......... I won't keep you both, I know there is still quite a few people waiting around to meet you. I'll see you both later then."

I waved them goodbye, leading myself out the door, pushing past a few other teachers, welcomers waiting to see Weasley's new establishment. I couldn't believe in a way he actually pulled it off, but his last year at Hogwarts, he really turned himself around.

He really pushed through his studies when it came down to graduating and he didn't really find himself much longer at the Ministry.

It was still warm out, the light breeze felt nice as the cold setting wind was just starting. School would be starting again soon as then fall would be in full swing.

The leaves would start to change, the brightness of the summer coming to its end as the rain would claim the sky.

It all seemed so familiar, waiting for the new year to start. I didn't really think I'd be any good at teaching but once receiving the letter of acceptance, I couldn't refuse.

I wanted to make a difference, I wanted to show the next line of students the real meaning of magic. Show them something real and to not to be afraid because as we all know in the past............. everything is unpredictable.

"Anne?" I yelled, throwing off my coat and sliding it over the chair.

She came rushing out of the bedroom, her face caked with flour as she had just tried changing her shirt.
