*Are you with me by Nilu*

*So far away by Staind*

*Alora POV*

Something deep inside start to lift. Like a crumbled paper was starting to unfold. Becoming straighter, lighter, fixed. I was excited. I couldn't believe for once, I was excited about something. I don't know what came over me, but it seemed like things were going to work out. Life was going to be good again. And I couldn't wait.

But then...... walking back to the Sallow home, it all hit me like a train. I was going to have to explain everything to Sebastian. And if I thought telling Ominis was hard, I couldn't imagine what was going to be waiting for me when I tell Sebastian how I wanted time to myself again when he knew he just got me back in his life.

I just hoped he would understand.

Yeah, right.

I rolled my eyes, but noticing just as we were opening the gate an owl with a letter dropped into my hands. A piece of parchment.

My breathe caught when I saw it was from Officer Singer.

Sebastian and Anne just so happen to come out of the home right in time when I started to unravel the parchment. My hands visibly beginning to shake reading it over.

And to my surprise, it was better than expected.

"What does it say?" Sebastian asked, seeing Anne grasp his shoulders trembling. She was so nervous it was going to be bad news. But I couldn't wait to share with her the same relief it gave me.

I smiled, "It says that, Sebastian, you are no longer in punishment of your crimes-" Sebastian nearly collapsed from the news, hugging Anne closely to him as they both filled with tears. "But you are to serve underneath the Ministry in which ever need is fit. They currently are in need of someone at Hogwarts to take in charge of disciplinary action." I chucked, "And they thought your past might be enough to scare the living daylights out of the children."

Ominis rolled his eyes as we both laughed.

"They didn't actually say that!" Sebastian scolded me.

"Ofcourse not, I'm just paraphrasing here. But said they are in need of teachers and so they can continue to keep an eye on you and your progress."

I continued to read.

"It just reads that, Officer Singer put in good words for you of the act of service we both did regarding the Gaunts altercation."

I looked up, seeing Ominis curious eyes as I mentioned him. "I'm sorry Ominis, it reads that there is still no word regarding your father."

He nodded. Taking a deep breath.

"What about you, Alora?" Anne asked.

I sighed, reading over the last little bit about myself. "I-.... am to report back to the Ministry for my next assignment. Seems there are more threats fancying the dark arts and becoming problems worldwide. Due to my experience..... punishment will not be put forth at this time unless I essentially abandon my post again. Which, I don't plan on doing." I released the breath I had been holding. Relieved of the news.

Sebastian was free.

I was free.

It was going to be okay.

"Your leaving?" Anne asked.

Sebastians eyes found mine within an instant, releasing Anne. Sadness flashing in between them, swimming in each other. He was waiting for me to confirm. Bracing for the truth.
