*Alora POV*

When the awkwardness finally fell and we pulled away, an eerie silence filled in between the two of us.

There was really nothing else left to say...... although I wanted to spill the world to him, unleash my feelings full force but I couldn't. Not with Ominis standing right in the doorway, waiting patiently for us to come inside.

Anne sat quietly at the table, helping assort it so everyone would have a cup of hot tea. Leaving some clothes on Sebastians chair so he could change out of the dark and dingy clothes Azkaban had given him to stay warm.

Anne's lemon honey tea filled the room with its sweet aroma. Bringing me back to old memories and old times.

I walked past Ominis, his jaw slightly tightened as he nodded for me to come inside, pulling it slowly closed as Sebastain smiled greatly to his sister. Going behind the curtain, changing into his new wardrobe, leaving us all standing there waiting for his return.

The four of us.

Starting out with just the three until Anne had joined the mix when I was introduced to her in my fifth year. Then sixth year......... breaking the curse, changing the course of her fate. And now-.... barely strangers.

Could it really go back to the way it was?

Could we take what's happened in the past and put it all behind us? Would it even be possible with all that's changed?

Anne hasn't even really looked at me much other than when we arrived. I wasn't sure if she just was too preoccupied with Sebastian being home or if the tension in between us never was lifted, even with him being delivered safely.

The steam from the cups lifted slowly, evaporating into air like it was nothing.

Maybe-.... maybe that's what I needed to do.

Disappear.

I did what I set out to do. Maybe there's nothing left for me here. Maybe-....... this was all I needed for myself to heal. Maybe Sebastian didn't need me after all, his sister, Anne and Ominis could take it from here while I fell back into the shadows. The darkness swallowing me.

I took a step towards the door, Ominis heading for the table.

I can't do this...........

I can't.

I won't-

"Alora."

I peeked my head up, noticing Ominis white orbs threading into me.

"It's okay." He said softly, bringing his hand out for me to take.

No-.... Ominis it's not. This feels so off and unwelcoming I can't-

Anne sat quietly into her chair, her hands warming up around the cup. Her dark eyes fading into the back round where I was standing.

Her expression changed, noticing me standing in the dark. Her hand slowly reached for the seat beside her.

"Please.......... sit, Alora."

When I hesitated, she smiled. Giving the warmth of a smile that I hadn't seen in ages.

"Please."

I sighed, giving up my stubbornness mind. Grabbing ahold of his hand and stepping into the light. Grasping the back of the chair, hearing the squeak of the floor as it came backwards. The chair immediately swallowing me whole as the return of Sebastian brought the attention back to him.
