*I apologize for the delay, Easter weekend, birthday week and work life going insane put me back a few days! I appreciate the patience! Here's the next chapter!!!!*

*Alora Pov*

When the world stops, it feels like you're seeing everything in slow motion. Your breath is timeless, your movements forever slow, the cup dropping on the marbled floor echoing through my ears. Its piercing sound running through my ear drums, feeling the vibrations through the floor. I didn't even feel Ominis grab my arm, pulling me away from the scene. The last little droplets of blood coating the floor in red.

Others didn't even notice, they just continued to dance in happiness. The cup getting kicked away, not a care in the world as it bounced away.

But to them it was just a cup. To them it was just wine getting spilled. To them it was me just being reckless and drunk. Their eyes watching as Ominis pulled me away, their feasting eyes of the fantasies that played in their minds of tonight's activities. To them, they saw what they wanted to see. Nothing more.

But to me...... to me-... I saw blood. I saw destruction.

Ominis burst me through dark wooden doors, the cool night air captivating my lungs. Sucking in as much as I could, trying to get this feeling of panic to wash over. But I could feel it, see it, coming up closer and closer to my throat.

Oh god.....

"Alora!" Ominis yelled.

Sprinting, I found the nearest tree, leaning on it. Throwing up the dark liquid, sticking my finger down my throat to get as much as I could from my system.

It felt like dark honey, my acid from my stomach not being enough to make it come up. The sticky liquid latching onto my teeth. The sight of it was just enough to make me start the process all over again.

Further and further my finger went.

Cough after cough, it felt never ending.

Small footsteps came behind me, a hand to my back in comfort.

"...Alora..." Ominis whispered.

But I couldn't speak. Not yet.

Heaving, getting my breath under control as I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. Standing slowly as I leaned on the tree for support.

Stupid.... stupid stupid girl!

I cursed to myself.

I should have known better. This whole thing is fucking stupid. I hate him. I hate him. I fucking hate him!

"What is it?" He asked.

I breathed, facing Ominis worried eyes.

"Blood."

Ominis face went pale.

He didn't know..... how could he. He left me.

"Where the hell did you go! You left me."

Ominis gulped. Still processing the information in his eyes.

"......to buy us time."

I frowned, "What are you talking about-"

Ominis wasted no time, grabbing my hand covered in blood and rushed us back towards the manor.

The Gaunts manor was quiet, not a sound came from the home as the venue was on the other side of the property in the back.

We rushed through the doors, shutting them softly behind us as his wand stood in front of him. His hand gripped the handle in which would bring us back down to the place that would forever haunt my dreams.
