***I apologize for the delay!!! This weekend has been super busy for me! But here's the next chapter! Enjoy :D ***

*Alora POV*

I didn't wake up once.

The second my eyes closed, was a second after I opened them and it was the next day. Time passed by so quickly that when I reached for the pocket watch that was on the end table next to the bed, it showed 7am.

I stilled when I heard the soft breath. The warmness of another laying next to me.

And for a moment I thought I was in a dream, peeking over and seeing Ominis laying next to me. His body laying in the opposite direction. Still cuddled up with the blanket over him.

But then I remembered.....he had kept his promise.

He stayed with me all night and not once.... did I wake.

This was a first........

I was so vulnerable, so weak, so simple minded that he probably could have used it against me... but he didn't. He was just-... there. Helping me.

I got up slowly, trying to not wake him as I traveled to the bathroom. Throwing water over my face, trying to still wake up but it was never easy. The reflection in the mirror told me all I needed to know. My eyes were sunken in, red and glossy. Swollen in cheek bones from not eating properly all these years. The burn marks that showed slightly over my shoulder, proving that some things just never heal correctly.

But in a way.... I felt-.... lighter.

Clearer.

Like a weight in some way was lifted off my shoulders, a weight I-... couldn't necessarily describe. Just-..... better.

I was too lost in thought, to notice Ominis was standing in the doorway, leaning against it with his wand to the side..... blinking rapidly. My eyes watching him in the reflection.

Would things still be the same after last night?

Would our goals still-..... align?

"How are you feeling?" He asked, coming off the wall and taking steps towards me.

I gulped.

"Actually-...... okay." I said.

He grinned.

"Good. You-.... slept."

"I know, surprisingly I didn't even wake up once..... thanks to you." I said softly.

His eye lit up in shock.

"You know I had nothing to do with it Alora-"

"But you did, Ominis. So stop being bashful and accept the compliment before it fly's away."

He huffed, "Fine, but you did most of the work. I just was..... there."

Yeah well......... that was enough....

He left abruptly for a second before coming back with some folded clothes in his hands.

"What are these-"

"My mothers, they should fit you." Ominis said softly, handing them to me.

The fabric was delicate, soft white lace corset top with a dark green velvet jacket that would go over top. Dark black pants to go with some laced up socks that would go nicely with my boots.

"Green really isn't my color Ominis-" I joked.

"It is when you're playing my wife, my dear."

Fucking shit...... I almost forgot......
