Tom's pov~
Y/N didn't have a problem when I told her about my brilliant plan for Sam's last-minute move, but what she was having a problem with was me excusing myself on our last night to make things right again. Luckily, there were only two stops, and the first one was none other than red curls.
"Hey. Is Harry home?" I asked when Ciara opened the door. Her hair was in a messy bun, and the nightgown she wore hinted that she was already getting ready for bed.
"Wait here," she said, not too thrilled, then turned to the stairs behind her and called out, "Harry? Someone's here to see you!"
I listened to the rustling, and footsteps echoed through the house."He wouldn't come if I said your name," she exclaimed, and an embarrassed blush rose to my cheeks. Was I so unbearable that he didn't even want to hear my name? Ciara seemed quite dismissive, and I understood. She must be on Harry's side.
"Um... is everything okay between us, lately?" I questioned. Sure I was an ass, but she must have noticed by now. I mean- pushing her boyfriend on the ground for stealing my phone was one thing, but choking her best friend another. Though I had thought she had forgiven me for that already.
She shrugged. It was all I needed to know."Yeah. Sure." Avoided eye contact, pale face, cold demeanor. If I didn't know any better, I would have guessed she was sick. But before I could question it, Harry appeared behind her, his cheerful face soon turning into a dark scowl.
"What are you doing here?"
Ciara disappeared behind him, giving us some privacy as if Harry wouldn't eventually tell her everything, and she, in turn, wouldn't tell Y/N.
"Listen-"
"You know if you need a place to sleep, you're wrong here." He was kind enough to clarify things for me first, not holding back. He must have thought Y/N had kicked me out. Which would mean we had a fight, which would mean he was sure I had managed to mess things up again. This time he was wrong. I wasn't carrying a backpack, and I didn't look exhausted either. Well, maybe not my best, but that had to do with Parker insisting on having fries for dinner rather than the Chinese food we had picked up."No," I hesitated, still pondering whether he knew and was teasing me, or if he genuinely thought I was looking for accommodation with him. Which wasn't out of the question, considering I had often stayed here when Y/N and I had a fight. "No, to be honest." I rummaged in my pocket for the piece of paper full of information. "Santos Urmar has an exhibition next Friday." Harry was positively intrigued, the name not being unfamiliar to him. Santos was one of the biggest artists in the UK, and without his photographs, Harry might haven't even started.
"I showed him some of your pictures, and he was very impressed," I explained, chuckling when his eyes were almost on the floor, unable to believe Santos knew who Harry was. But what was even more important to him, Santos had seen Harry's pictures. I handed him the little note with the phone number and email. "Just give him a call in the next few days. I've already told him you'd get in touch. And if he doesn't answer, then leave him an email. He's very open to collaborating with you."
How did I get his number? Easy, when you're Spiderman... Plus, Rod knew him, which is why I had agreed to model for some famous underwear brand in return. I had been putting it off for months, telling him I didn't have time, but now the company had tripled their offer, and taking the bait was a no-brainer.
"Shit! Are you serious?" He could hardly believe the piece of paper in his fingertips. A piece of paper worth more to him than tons of gold.
