Tulips

I groaned as soon as I opened my eyes the next morning. What happened last night?

How the heck am I home?

Tumakbo ako papunta sa banyo para maligo at makapag-ayos dahil amoy ko pa ang alak sa bibig ko. Ano ba ang nangyari kagabi? Sino ang naghatid sa'kin? Tumawag ba ako sa driver? Bakit hidni ko maalala?

My headache somehow vanished when I started taking a shower. Buti naman.

Matapos maligo ay lumabas ako ng naka-bathrobe lang dahil obviously hindi ako nakakuha ng damit sa closet.

"Where is my phone?" I asked myself while I am looking for my phone and my bag, which I immediately saw on my bedside table, there's medicine too. "Oh God" I whispered checking everything on my phone.

First my parents are home, which I don't even remember that they messaged me last night while I am at the party. Pwede naman kasing deretso na ang message nila sa kakambal ko, sa akin pa idadaan. Hay naku.

Second, Leon's good morning message using his Philippine's sim card. Leon is back? Like what? Just, what in the world happened in one night?

Bakit ang daming bumalik?

Hindi pa ako tapos mag-isip ay tumunog na ang cellphone ko dahil tumatawag si Leon gamit nga ang number na gamit niya dito sa Pilipinas.

"Good morning" he greeted me the moment I answered his call.

"Just what in the hell are you back in my country?" I asked, still confused on why is he here? Is Lauris with him? how about his work?

"Is that how you greeted someone?" he asked and I can hear the playfulness on his tone.

"I'm shock and confused, what do you expect, a sweet 'good morning'?" I sarcastically asked and sighed. "Pero bakit ka ba naandito? You don't even tell me about your plans on coming here. When did you arrived here?"

"Last night" he simply replied and I frowned. Last night? I was at the bar last night and I... I don't remember what happened after I danced at the dance floor.

"We were still talking last night, at Instagram. Hindi mo man lang nasabi na babalik ka dito" nanunumbat ang tonong sambit ko.

"How will I tell you a surprise visit?" he asked as if I am dumb that I even complain about his unannounced visit.

So he planned to surprise me? Like how would he do that if I am partying last night?

"How's last night? Do you enjoy?" he asked before I can even answer his first question.

Umupo ako sa kama bago ko siya sinagot.

"I actually can't remember. I mean I enjoyed having fun and partying with my friends, but I can't fully remember what happened last night. I don't even remember calling a driver to fetch me, so why am I home now?" I asked myself while also talking to him. "The last thing I can remember doing last night, was I am dancing with the crowd, then I am inside a car. Then I can't remember other things anymore"

"And you told me not to worry and stop calling you everyday huh. Really, Fate?" he angrily asked. What? He's mad already?

"Ang aga-aga galit ka na kaagad" reklamo ko naman at narinig ko ang paghinga niya ng malalim. "The important thing is I am home and I am safe"

"You're careless most of the freaking time, that I have to take care of you. But you're always complaining about my frequent call" he whispered. "So, you really can't remember who took you home last night?"
