Meet

"Mom, I have plans for today!" I announced when I just got home.

I had a sleepover to my friend's house at the same village to ours, so I went home earlier because of unexpected call that woke me up.

"Good morning"

I heard a man's voice after I answered a call without looking on who is calling. I thought it's mom, but it's not.

"Sino 'to?" tanong ko at humikab dahil antok pa ako. "Ipinagbabawal ang pag-gising sa'kin ng maaga!" antok na dagdag ko pa.

"It's freaking late crazy lady, get up. I will need your help" he replied and there is only one man who calls me that. Grumpy old man named Leon.

"Why!? I am still sleepy" I opened my eyes and saw my friend still sleeping soundly. Dapat ganito din ako e, ginising lang ako ng gagong 'to.

"I am going to find a unit" he replied that made me frown. What!?

"What for? You're going back to New York next week, so what is the unit for?" I asked and slowly get up so I won't disturb my friend's peaceful sleep. Then I went to her room's balcony.

"Yes, but I need a home. I will be back soon anyway"

"Wow you haven't left yet, but you're already planning on going back. Do you think New York is that near to Philippines?" I chuckled and went back inside to pack my things.

Sa bahay na ako maliligo.

"That's better. I will buy my own home, so I won't need to rent a hotel room once I come back. I don't mind travelling for so many times, it's my plane anyway" he reasoned our and I just rolled my eyes.

Ginawang magkapit-bahay ang New York at Philippines dahil lang may sarili naman siyang eroplano. At bibili ng unit dahil lang sa babalik pa siya, e hindi rin naman siya maninirahan dito.

"I am not that rich to get your logic. But why the hell do you need me if you can do that alone or with Lauris?" I asked and leave a note for my friend.

"Because I said so. Get your ass up from the bed, I will be there in front of your house after an hour. I don't want to wait for so long" he dropped the call and I stomped my feet because I didn't even fire back at his remarks.

Ano siya boss ko?

Nagpaalam na ako sa magulang ng kaibigan ko at sinabing sa bahay na ako mag-aagahan.

"Kakauwi mo lang, layas na naman? Aba naman" reklamo ng tatay ko pero pinatahimik lang ni mommy kaya tinawanan ko lang siya. "Pinagtutulungan niyo ba akong dalawa?" dagdag na tanong ni daddy habang pabalik-balik ang tanong sa'min.

"I am not doing anything. And I am already old enough to go somewhere even if I just went home" I defended and he frowned at me before he rolled his eyes.

Papayag din naman siya, dadaldal lang muna.

"Kumain ka muna bago umalis ha!" sigaw ni daddy ng tumakbo na ako paakyat sa kwarto.

"Hi twin!" I greeted my twin and hugged her before I went inside my room to take a bath and prepare for my day.

Wala din naman akong choice, anak ng tinapa. Mas matigas ang ulo ng lalaking 'yung kaysa sa ulo ko.

Dumeretso ako sa dining room at nakitang nakain ng graham cake ang kakambal ko.

"Saan ka pupunta?" mahinahong tanong ng kakambal ko ng nakitang nakaayos ako.
