"Mom, I really don't have to go to this stupid academy," Astrid said as she stopped Hilda from packing her large suitcases.
Hilda shrugged her daughters hands away and continued to overpack with basically her entire room, "Nonsense, Astrid! This is an amazing opportunity gifted to you by the gods, you must take it," she said, emphasis on 'must'.
4 years away from my family? I...I couldn't possibly... Astrid thought. She'd always been around her parents and they'd done so much, in fact everything, for her.
She would miss so much. Her mom's cooking, her little sister's squeals around the house, her dad's snoring (she never thought she'd miss it until now).
Hilda locked the final suitcase and dusted her hands off on her dress, signifying that Astrid was all packed and ready to go.
Out of the blue, Astrid enveloped her mother in a tight embrace, laying her head against her chest. Astrid's arms formed a cage around Hilda's torso, showing she has no intention of letting go.
"I'm gonna miss you so much, Mom. Thank you for everything," Astrid whispered, only loud enough for her and Hilda to hear. She felt a tear roll down her cheek like the pearl you would find on a necklace.
It was the end of an era, but the start of a new, unexpected journey...

"Hiccup! The ship is here, are ya ready?" Stoick's deep voice boomed throughout the house. Today was the day Hiccup would leave for his 4 year training course at the School of Solvang in Northern England. He wasn't exactly excited, but then again, he didn't have much of a choice.
He lugged down his heavy cases and the bellmens helped load them onto the ship carrier.
He bid his parents a final farewell before sailing off into the horizon.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome, to the School of Solvang!" A man with grey, fluffy hair stood on the podium and spoke.
"I am Headmaster Valdison, and it is a pleasure to welcome you to the most prestigious warrior academy in all of Europe for Vikings," his strong English accent was unmistakable. He has been the Headmaster of Solvang for the past 9 years, and doesn't plan on retiring anytime soon.
Hiccup's eyelids became heavier and heavier by the second as Headmaster Valdison continued his welcome speech. He was almost completely knocked out when he noticed a familiar braid in the corner of his eye.
He jolted awake and swivelled his head in the direction of the braid. Squinting his eyes for a better look, he let out a silent gasp - it was the same girl from the wedding night, and she was going to train with me for the next 4 years? He thought to himself and couldn't help but let a smile form on his face.

Once assigned to their Houses, they each received their own rooms and were given a tour of the entire campus. The Folklorian Mountains were spectacular. A layer of fog enveloped the mountainous scape which were covered in a dense population of Oak Trees and all sorts of flora and fauna could be found in every corner.
All newcomers were also told how beautiful the mountains looked in August, the best month of the year for this area. Having just entered September, the August blooms of flora were still very much prominent.
At the end of the tour, all students returned to their houses and were each given a rule book.
Hiccup skimmed through the first few, only to realise the next 200 or so below them.
