"SO WAIT, this bioactive refreshment can only be found on what? Chebeague Island?" Mouch asked as they entered the firehouse.
Hermann was carrying several bottles of drinks. They were green. Peter was carrying two packages of the same drink. "No, genius, it starts there in a natural spring. They infuse it with the protein and enzymes after in a laboratory."
He handed Melisa and Otis a bottle each and put the rest on the kitchen counter. "Listen, all I know is this kid that I grew up with is making a mint hocking this stuff. You should see his status reports on Facebook or whatnot." Hermann handed out drinks to Mouch and Peter.
"I'm sure he's got a brand new Mercedes and a hot wife," Otis retorted. Melisa stood next to him, analyzing the bottle and the ingredients.
"Something like that."
"Hey." Boden walked in. "Where's Casey?"
"Guy got his arm buried in a machine, so he went with Shay and Dawson to the hospital to unbury it."
"You guys know anything about a visit to the CPD today?"
Melisa looked back at the bottle in her hand. Wanting to focus on that rather than the visit Casey made to Voight. "Yeah, we made a stop coming back from Caldwell," Otis answered. "Said he needed to talk to somebody."
"Okay." Boden nodded before walking off.
Otis took a sip from the drink and turned to Hermann. "That's pretty good, actually."
"Yeah, sells itself." Hermann threw a bottle each to the firefighters sitting at the table.
Melisa also decided to taste it to see if it was actually good, like Otis said. A surprised look washed over her face. "Hmm. Wow. This is not terrible."
Hermann shot her a look. "Why's that surprising?" Melisa shrugged her shoulder. She grabbed another bottle. "What are you doing? You already got one."
"I want to take this to my mom. She'll love it."
"Take as many as you want. You have farm animals."
Melisa made a look at that. "I'm not feeding this to my farm animals." She let out a chuckle before walking away.
