"HE WAS REALLY cagey," Gabby stated. Her voice was shaky. She stood outside the locker room with Melisa, Shay, and Peter. Her brother had been shot, and she witnessed it. "We were talking right before it happened."
"He's lucky that you were there," Peter told Gabby, his hand cupping her cheek. "Okay?" He put his hand down when he realized they weren't alone.
"Pete, it's fine. They know."
Peter pulled Gabby into a hug. "Is he out of the I.C.U.?" Melisa asked.
"No. Not yet. I'm going to the hospital after shift."
Shay nodded. "All right, I'll go with you."
Peter and Gabby backed away from each other when Casey made his way over. "Hey. I just heard. How is he?"
"Uh, he lost a lot of blood, so they're still doing the transfusions," Gabby answered.
Casey sighed. "I'm so sorry." He put his hand on her shoulder. "Your brother went to above and beyond for me and Melisa with the Voight thing. If there's anything I can do, just let me know."
Gabby nodded. "Thank you."
"The chief wanted me to tell you there's a police detective here to see you in his office for some follow-up questions."
"Okay."

Hermann was getting himself some food. "All right, you're our guy for construction on the new bar, right?" He asked Casey.
"I believe the offer was free consultation."
"Okay. All right, fine." Hermann started off to the table, where Melisa and Otis sat, eating their food. "The inspection is tomorrow, and then our new silent partner is coming over here later for a meet-and-greet." He sat down.
