"WHAT'S UP?" Gabby asked, making her way over with Shay. Casey was standing on top of the truck.

"Door's jammed," Melisa answered.

"I told Chief we needed to grease this puppy before the weather turned," Hermann stated.

Otis looked over at Hermann. "And what? He ignored you?"

"No. He told me to do it, but I forgot. I've been preoccupied."

"Weren't you and Cindy using protection?" Mouch questioned.

"We've got four kids, Mouch. I was counting on my sperm being too tired to make the swim." Shay and Gabby quickly made their excuses to leave, not wanting to listen to the conversation anymore.

"You know, my grandmother had this garage door that was always stuck two feet off the ground," Otis started telling a story. With the exception of Melisa and Peter, everyone raised a hand in the air.

Melisa was confused when she noticed this. "What's going on?" Peter had the same expression on his face.

"We got a rule," Hermann explained. "You tell a story that we've all heard a million times, we raise our hand, you got to shut up, no questions asked."

"Yeah, that's actually impolite and insulting," Otis retorted.

"Like that's on us," Hermann laughed.

"We haven't heard the story," Peter stated with a shrug, referring to himself and Melisa.

"Mills, let's go," Cruz said, slapping his back.

"Where are you guys going?" Otis asked, seeing the two make their way to the truck.

"I asked Cruz to give me driving lessons, so," Peter responded. He was ready to get in the truck.

"I'm actually next in line to drive 81. You know that." Otis looked at Casey. "Lieutenant?"

"Not now, Otis," Casey replied.

"Hey," a kid walked in. "I got this dog here if anyone wants it." Melisa approached the kid, petting the dog.

Mouch spoke against this immediately. "Don't even think about it. We had a dog over at 80 when I was there. I still have the teeth marks on my ankle to prove it."

"My dad says he's gonna throw it in the river if I don't get rid of it."

Melisa felt her heart drop at his words. She loved animals and taking care of them. "I'll take it." The kid handed her the dog. "I'm gonna find you a home," she spoke to the dog in a baby voice.
