CASEY ENTERED the common room area. "That was Lasky, down at headquarters," he told everyone. "Looks like McLeod is making her final decision today about which house she's going to close next."
Peter looked over with the coffee pot and a mug in each hand. "And?"
"He thinks it's between us and Firehouse 17."
"Oh, man," Cruz mumbled, shaking his head. "This has got to be weighing pretty heavy on the chief."
Mouch walked in. "I just wanted to remind everyone today is Election Day for the Union presidency. Polls will be open all evening, starting at five pm. So I urge you all to exercise your right to vote. Unless you plan on voting for Greg Sullivan. In which case, forget what I just said."
Hermann walked up to Gabby and sat at her table- Melisa and Otis were with him. "Listen, we've been going over this and going over this, and we think that we need to involve the cops at this point, you know, in an official capacity."
Gabby looked at her three partners who were sitting in front of her. "I told you guys I'd take care of it. Antonio is all over-"
"No offense, but I feel like we need to go beyond Antonio at this point," Otis cut her off.
"Reach out to the higher-ups," Hermann added. "Get somebody with a little more juice."
Gabby disagreed with them. "Think maybe you guys just might be overreacting a tiny bit. If we just stick to the plan and pay what he wants-"
"Overreacting?" Melisa interrupted her with a slight scoff. "Are you suffering from memory loss? Because I seem to remember Game Day burning to the ground. If Arthur is willing to do that with them, you don't think he'd do the same to Molly's?"
"Has anyone seen Severide?" Shay asked as she walked in. Many of them answered, telling her they hadn't seen him. "So messed up. I had to take the bus here."

"HE'S A COP?!" Melisa exclaimed. She looked at Gabby in shock- as did Hermann and Otis. "Halstead is a cop?"
"How long have you known about this?" Otis asked.
"Not long," Gabby answered. "And I'm sorry that I didn't tell you guys. It's just he wanted me to protect his cover. He needs us to provoke Arthur so that he can make a case."
The explanation made sense. Melisa was shocked about him being a cop, but it was way better than him working for Arthur.
