"I'M JUST SAYING, JAY, YOU GOT A target on your head, and you don't seem all that phased," Adam stated, getting defensive. He had been asking a lot of questions. Someone wanting Jay dead was sparking curiosity.

Amy, on the other hand, understood why Jay was so calm about the whole thing. "Overseas, we always had a bounty on us," she explained to Adam.

The detectives walked out of the break room, some with coffee. "Most gangs only pay 10 G for a cop," Antonio informed. "If you're really worth 100, I should take you out myself. Pay off my mortgage."

Jay was by his desk now. "Try it."

Amy put her coffee on her desk as Adam got past her to get to his. "Coke dealer one time put a million dollar tag on me and Voight," Alvin told them.

Jay seemed shocked and amazed by that. "What?"

"How'd you handle that?" Adam questioned.

"Well, you dust yourself. Never go home the same way twice. Run red lights. If a car follows you through one, you chamber a round, and you handle business."

Amy and Adam shared a look, both impressed by the older detective. "All right," she muttered.

"This is Billy Fagan," Hank announced. Everyone turned their attention to him as he put a picture on the whiteboard. "Small time hood had ties to a local outfit. I've run into him a couple of times."

He put up another picture of the same man. But in this one, he was dead, and his face was bloodied. "This is Billy Fagan seven hours ago. Organized crime found a dollar bill pinned to his chest. They looked into the Serbians, the cartels, coming up empty."

"We taking this from organized crime because he was your poker buddy?" Erin's question caused some of them to tense up while others glanced at each other nervously.

Hank looked over at her for a moment before speaking again. "Start reaching out to your CIs.," he told the detectives before turning to Alvin and gesturing him to follow him into his office, which he did.

Alvin closed the door to the office. "What did you find?"

"Her file says she was born in Chicago," Alvin started. "There is no date or time, though. Says she was raised by a couple named Zack and Annie Miller. She made Homicide after a six-month undercover assignment that she volunteered for. Married, with one kid. She seems like she is good at her job. There not much more I could find."
