ANTONIO LOOKED AT AMY and Jay- she was holding the punching bag, and he was throwing punches at it. They had been teasing each other back and forth, which Antonio found amusing.
"When are we gonna spar?" Antonio asked Jay.
"I don't like that look in your eye."
Antonio let out a small laugh. "Ah, you're doing great. Just keep dropping your left every time you throw your right cross. It'll be fun."
"Break?" Amy asked Jay.
He nodded. "Yeah," he breathed out. They went over to the bench where Antonio was seated.
Jay glanced over at Antonio before hesitatingly asking. "Is Voight dirty?"
Amy looked over at her partner, not understanding why he was asking this. She also didn't want to get involved in that. "It's not my department," Antonio replied.
"So that's a yes."
"I almost went down the tubes when I was in Vice, which was right around the time I stopped judging other cops."
"I'm not looking for judgment, just... a definition. Do I learn from him, or do I keep my distance?"
"Both." Jay nodded slightly. "But if you really wanna know if he's dirty, ask her." Antonio motioned to Erin, who had just walked in.
"Jazzercise is, like, a block south," Jay teased Erin.
Erin wasn't phased by the comment. "Yeah, nice muscle tee."
"This is perfectly acceptable attire for the boxing gym."
"No, absolutely. And the bonus is you don't have to change later when you breakdance." Her comeback amused both Antonio and Amy.
"Isn't that Voight's kid?" Amy asked upon seeing him enter.
"Yeah," Erin replied. "Justin," she called him over. "This is Antonio, Amy, and Jay. I work with them."
"Antonio's buddy owns the gym, hence the 30 percent discount," Amy added.
Antonio shot her a look at that. "Twenty. Nice try."
