I apologize for the inconvenience, but I have unpublished two chapters. Upon reviewing the content, I noticed I made an error. I was supposed to upload two chapters with Wang's POV before uploading Zhan's POV after 20 years. Thank you for your understanding.

Wang's Pov.

Lee composed himself, holding his tears, and stood beside me. My father was silent for a moment, then reached for a cigarette and lit it. Without a word, he walked out of the room, leaving us in his wake. As we followed him, I noticed some people were saying it was good. However, others said my father should have fired Zhu instead of killing him.

Zhu was my father's trusted bodyguard for 15 years. He served with loyalty and distinction, earning trust and respect. However, his fatal mistake was falling in love. Zhu kept it a secret, but my father discovered it.

When we entered my room, Lee broke down and cried. I had never seen him so broken. His emotions overflowed. I felt sorry for him. I wanted to comfort him, but I wasn't sure what to do. Instead, I left him to cry in my room, knowing it was soundproof.

As I walk out, I notice everyone talks about Zhu's boyfriend. That he was selfish for not coming out. Some claimed that the boyfriend might not even live on the estate.

I didn't even know Lee was seeing someone. He was always discreet about his personal life, so I wonder how my father found out. It's heartbreaking to see Lee in such a vulnerable state.

I was out until midnight before I headed back to my room. To my surprise, I found Lee sitting on the floor, drinking. He looked visibly distressed, his voice barely above a whisper as he said, "I'm sorry you had to see me like this."

"I'm sorry about my father," I said, sitting beside him. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"We knew the risk before we started," Lee whispered.

"How long?" I asked. Lee smiled sadly, showing me his ring. "Four years," he said. "I never knew that was a wedding ring."

"No one knows," he whispered, his voice filled with pain. "Not even his sister at first." "But we eventually told her, two years after we got married," Lee confessed, his voice filled with a mix of relief and sadness.

Why didn't you tell me? I asked.

"Zhu made me promise not to tell anyone," Lee replied. "He texted me they were coming."

That was why you told me it was a matter of life and death? I asked, shocked. My god, did you tell him about Sean?

"Yes," Zhu smiled. "He knew about Sean all along.

"I'm sorry," I said, tears welling up in my eyes. "I didn't know what else to say.

"It's not your fault, Wang," Lee said. He downed the whiskey, his voice tinged with sadness.

Having crawled to the fridge, I picked up a glass cup, then crawled back, and poured myself a drink. The whiskey's bitterness matched my bitter taste.

"But how did my dad find out?" I asked, my voice trembling with confusion. Lee's face grew solemn as he slowly explained. "He just barged in on us," Lee said, his voice filled with regret. "When Zhu saw him, he acted quickly, wrapping the duvet around my head and pushing me out the glass window to protect me."

"Your dad never came to Zhu's apartment," Lee confessed. "He always called him on the phone. I think someone told him."

"I won't rest until I uncover the truth," I said firmly, my determination fueled by the bitter taste of the whiskey. As we clinked our glasses together, Lee nodded, tears rolling down his cheeks.
