Wang's pov.
Hungry? I asked Sean. Smiling. We didn't say anything to each other after our last conversation and we settled into a comfortable silence until we were both asleep.
I can make breakfast. Sean said standing up.
We both wore boxers, he slipped into one of my joggers and I wore a short and trailed behind him as he made his way to the kitchen. It took all the energy and little self-respect I had for myself to control all the sexual thoughts that flooded my mind last night. He looks ribbed, like a Greek God.
What do you care to eat? Sean asked.
Anything you make. I say blushing. It felt good to cuddle him last night and I'd love it if it continued forever.
Sean made pancakes, scrambled eggs, waffles, and tea. Can't remember the last time I had breakfast this happy and carefree. We ate in the comfort of ourselves. I can't stop stealing glances at him. "This man right here is finally mine and I'd do everything to keep him.
When we finished eating he made me drink my medication and he called Enzo and they spoke for a while in Portuguese and English. I also spoke with everyone it felt good. I can't get used to this sweet butterfly feeling in my stomach.
He had a shower and changed into some clean clothes and I did too. I'll head to the hotel now check available flights and get back to you. Sean said.
But I wanted to talk to him. I don't want him to leave without knowing.
Sean, can we talk before you leave? I asked my tone getting serious.
Sure. He said sitting on the couch.
I'm an only child. My mom was a brilliant woman and got her career right before she met my dad, one thing led to another and they got married. But then she gave birth to me, and things changed. My dad started cheating right left and centre. It got to my mom so she started doing everything other girls were doing for my dad, she started using drugs with him and left me in the care of nannies.
She and my dad were back to their love life but after a while, my dad started cheating again, her jealousy and rage got the best of her, and she started using every day, without it she would go and harass my dad wherever he was with his girlfriends. She was a ticking time bomb.
Her family is rich so they took her to rehab, she got clean, and when she got out she became angry and didn't want to see me. She said I ruined her perfect life. That everything was fine before she gave birth to me. Anger started to consume her little by little and she relapsed.
Ever since then, she got deep into it, and my father filed for divorce and she moved out, she spent all her life savings on drugs, and when she couldn't meet up with her fix, she started having sex for money so she could buy drugs.
I still go to her place every now and then to check up on her but she always steals something to sell. After a while, I just stopped going and a few years ago she died of an overdose. You know all about my dad. I sighed.
Sean's face softened as he absorbed my words. The silence between us stretched, but it wasn't the kind that begged to be filled. It was the kind that held space for everything unsaid, for the heavy emotions that lingered between us. I had never told anyone this story—not fully. Not with the painful details, the raw truth of it. But with Sean, it felt like the right time, like the truth needed to come out before I could move forward.
"I'm sorry," he said finally, his voice thick with empathy. "That's... a lot. I can't even imagine what it's like to go through something like that."
