When we got to the venue, Yanli made a stunning entrance in her red dress. Her black heels perfectly complemented her outfit, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication.

To complete her look, Yanli styled her hair in a bun, showcasing her delicate features and drawing attention to her sharp jawline. The bun was meticulously done, accentuating her high cheekbones and drawing attention to her natural beauty.

In terms of makeup, Yanli opted for a light, natural look that enhanced her features without overshadowing her natural beauty. Her choice of eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara was subtle yet impactful, creating a striking contrast with her red dress.

People couldn't look away from my daughter at the event. They whispered among themselves, commenting on her beauty and style. As a proud parent, I couldn't help but beam with pride at her style.

Throughout the evening, many people approached my daughter, eager to know where she got her dress. Their questions were a testament to her elegance and craftsmanship. Without hesitation, my daughter proudly replied, "My dad made it for me."

Her words brought a smile to my face, knowing I had played a small part in making her feel confident and beautiful.

The event atmosphere was just as exquisite as the attendees. The party was filled with elegant decor, live music, and delicious food and drinks that never ceased to impress.

I was glad Enzo had taught me how to appreciate fine wine at some point, as the event offered an impressive selection. The flavors danced on my palate, enhancing the already delightful atmosphere of the evening.

It was 9pm, and I was curious about who the celebrant was. "Yanli, I'll be right back. I need to use the restroom. Don't leave your seat." I said as I stood up. Making my way through the crowd, I couldn't help but overhear snippets of conversations praising the host's impeccable taste and attention to detail.

As I walk back to our seat, I ask a guy sipping his drink and dancing, "Is the celebrant around?" He looks at me with a smile and replies, "Oh, you mean the host? He's actually right over there, mingling with the guests and making sure everyone is having a fun time."

I looked around but didn't see anyone I recognized, so I walked back to our seat. As I sat down, I couldn't help but feel dread. "Yanli, I'm tired. Let's go home," I say, suddenly feeling scared and no longer interested in finding out who the celebrant was. As dread lingered in the air, my unease became stronger. I just wanted to leave the event behind and be safe in my bed.

"I ordered some food for us. We'll leave as soon as we eat. I'm hungry," she pouts, her impatience evident.

"Okay baby," I smile and take a sip of my water, trying to hide my unease. I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, but I didn't want to worry Yanli. We would leave as soon as we finished eating, and I promised myself that I would keep her safe.

The food came, and halfway through our meal, I saw Lee walk in with a lady. My heart skipped a beat as I quickly shifted my chair and stood up, walking towards him, determined to confront him.

I didn't bother tapping him. I went and stood in front of him. The shock on his face was evident as I rolled my eyes and smiled at him, then I hugged him tightly, feeling a mix of relief and anger.

"What happened? You told me you were close, and I waited for hours," I said as I pulled away from the hug. Lee's smile faded as he stared at me with guilt in his eyes. He turned to look back, then looked at me and pulled me to the side. "What are you doing here?" he asked, his tone harsh, as if he wasn't happy to see me. "I didn't expect to see you. Things have gotten complicated, and it's not safe for you to be here," he whispered, his voice filled with concern.
