Left Behind (Suntan)

Hero(in)

The midday sun shined bright through the hospital window, the sound of laughter drifted down the corridor as Hero rushed to Kel's room. 1x03, 1x04, 1x05! Hero kicked the door open, to find Sunny curled up in a chair next to Kel's hospital bed, sketching something in his notebook as Kel chatted on and on about the difference between Orange Joe and Orange Juice. Hero didn't care that much about Kel's health anymore. His expression changed from worried to disgusted, and he made his presence known by stomping his feet on the pearly white hospital floors. Kel looked towards the direction of the sound, and he quickly stopped talking.
"Why is he here?"

"Who?"

"Him."

"Who is he?"

"Standing in front of you!" Hero cried out, exasperated.

Kel stared at Hero, then glanced at his nails.

"What's his name?"

"Sunny."

Kel glanced towards Hero in mock surprise.

"Oh Sunny? Sunny decided to keep me company during my hospital stay."

Hero turned his head towards Sunny, who was still curled up in the chair, an expression of paralyzing fear resting on his face.

To Sunny, Hero had the same demeanor of a pissed off elephant. The only difference between the two was that Hero didn't have a trunk or tusks.

Kel, obviously unfazed, decided to go even further.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to keep you company of course. You don't need a murderer to keep you company."

Hero replied spitefully.
"You, good sir," Kel spat, "Are a murderer of the good vibe that was here 5 minutes ago."

Sunny, scared for his life, was silently packing up his things. As he rose up to leave, he felt a pull on his shirt. He turned around and saw Kel staring into his eyes.

"Don't go." He whispered.

Sunny could see Kel was nervous, and realized that Kel needed him. So he sat back down in the chair, and decided to watch the show.

Hero's eyes were burning with rage as he turned tail, and stormed out the door.
