Sunny and Kel kept a sizable distance from each other, with Kel changing the subject every time Kim or Vance asked about Sunny, and with Sunny simply refusing to talk. Eventually Kim walked over to ask Basil, and was given a quick rundown of the situation, which she shared with Charlene and Vance. Soon enough, Basil, Aubrey and The Hooligans had come up with a plan.
Kim walked over to Kel. "We've got something to do, and Basil said he can help, so we'll be seeing you around, okay?" Kim said. Kel nodded, then asked, "Who do you mean by 'we'?" Kim smiled. I mean Aubrey, me, Vance, Angel, The maverick, and Charlene!" Kim exclaimed.
Kel gasped. "Wait, you're all leaving?" Kel exclaimed, nervous. Kim giggled. "You seem nervous, you'll be fine! It's just Sunny! Isn't he your best friend?" Kim asked, silently regretting everything she said. Kel laughed nervously. "Yeah..... Just Sunny." He mumbled.
On the other side of the park, Charlene was quietly explaining the situation to Sunny, who blushed pink. "You're all leaving?" Sunny asked. "Why?" Charlene shrugged. "We've got work to do." She said quietly. Sunny nodded, accepting his fate, and waved goodbye.
Sunny sat up to look at Kel, who was fiddling with his hair nervously. Sunny stood up and walked over. "Hey." Sunny said. Kel looked up at him, and blushed. "Do you wanna go somewhere else, to uuummm..... Talk?" Sunny asked.
Kel smiled sincerely. "I'd love that." Kel said softly. Kel got up to stand, then the two boys started to walk. They made they're way to a small clearing in the northeast side of the park. They both sat down opposite each other on the sandy ground.
"Sooo.... About yesterday night-" Kel began. "Wait!" Sunny interrupted. Kel paused. "Yeah? What's wrong?" Kel asked. Sunny blushed. "Before you finish your sentence I would like to say something." Sunny stated. Kel nodded. "Okay. You can tell me anything." Kel responded nervously.
