Kel, having finished his conversation with Polly, was watching Basil and Sunny's hushed exchange. Rather, he was staring at Sunny. What was I thinking? I can't believe I said that. Kel thought. Basil turned to look at him, then screamed : "WHAT?" Kel jumped, then stared at the ground, blushing. Sunny told Basil, didn't he. He must see me as a freak now. Both of them. Kel thought, frowning. I'm stupid to ever think that I had a chance with Sunny.

As Kel continued thinking of himself in a demeaning manner, Sunny and Basil were making their way over to him. Kel snapped out of his trance, and decided to pretend that nothing happened. It seemed that Basil and Sunny decided to do the same. "Me and Sunny were talking, and we decided to go to Aubrey and apologise!" Basil exclaimed.

Kel smiled, hiding his true feelings. "That's brilliant! Shall we go?" Kel asked. Basil and Sunny locked eyes. He knows. Sunny smiled. "Yeah! Let's go!" Sunny exclaimed. Kel smiled back, then the trio began to walk to the park. "What were you guys talking about?" Kel asked. Sunny fretted, trying to come up with a cover, but Basil was dead calm. "We were just talking about how you were amazingly brave to go up to Aubrey and convince her to give us a second chance!" Basil said, batting his eyelashes. " You're so brave Kel!

Kel, caught off guard by the compliments, smiled sincerely. "Thanks Basil. That's nice of you." Kel said. Basil smiled back, relieved that his cover had worked. Sunny, who was watching the conversation, was brainstorming ways to confess. I could take him to a pretty place, or get down on one knee- Nah don't get on one knee, Omori interrupted.

That's for marriage proposals. Sunny nodded. You're right. Should I get him something? Sunny asked. Yeah. Omori said. That's a good way to do it. What are you gonna get him? Omori asked. Sunny frowned. I don't know yet... Sunny thought. But I'll figure it out.
