Sunny gaped at Basil and Aubrey, not knowing whether to smile or frown. Sunny looked over at Kel, who was as confused as he was.
"How did you know? We were hiding it so well!" Kel exclaimed. Aubrey snickered, and patted Basil on the back, signalling to him for him to explain.
"We saw you kiss in the doorway, and confess to each other, and kiss in the middle of the road, and...... yeah." Basil explained, giggling. Kel smiled crookedly, unsure of what to say. Sunny smiled as well, thankful for his friends' supportive reaction.

It was late in the evening, when Sunny and Kel got home. The whole afternoon they had been spending time with Aubrey and Basil, and more importantly, with each other. The two boys were tired, and promptly readied themselves for bed, when Kel's cell phone rang. Kel answered it, frowning. Sunny couldn't hear much of what the caller was saying, but he could hear Kel's grunted replies.
"Who was it?" Sunny asked after Kel was done. Kel turned to Sunny, a pained look on his face.
"It was my Mom. They're coming back home tomorrow."
