Lie

"STOP SAYING THAT. IT'S SUNNY'S FAULT MARI DIED. HE PUSHED HER, AND DIDN'T EVEN TELL US." Aubrey yelled. Her eyes were locked onto Kel's, neither of them keen on looking away. "He didn't even think to tell us. I might have forgiven him if he did, but he didn't, and now he has to deal with it." Aubrey spat. Kel's gaze softened, since he also found fault in the way Sunny handled the situation. "Please Aubrey." Kel said softly. "Give Sunny a chance."

Aubrey looked at Kel, tears filling her eyes. "Fine." Aubrey sighed. "I'll give him a chance. But he has only one shot." She threatened. Kel smiled. "I do sympathise with you on why you're mad at him, but try to look at it from his point of view." Kel suggested. Aubrey smiled sadly. "I know that Sunny's nearby." She said. Kel's eyes widened, and he stumbled over his words in a sad attempt to make up a lie. Aubrey turned and walked away. "I guess I'll see you two around." She said, waving goodbye to Kel. Kel smiled, and waved back. "See you Aubrey!" He exclaimed happily.

Sunny, who was watching the conversation, grinned, full of excitement. Now they had to make sure Hero would forgive him, but he had a nagging thought at the back of his head. Kel said that he could sympathise with Aubrey over the fact that I didn't tell them. Does he still.... Hate me for it? Is he faking everything? Sunny thought to himself. He could feel tears filling his eyes, threatening to overflow.

Kel watched Aubrey walk off until she was out of earshot, then walked over to the bush in which Sunny was hiding in. He pushed the branches away to see Sunny with his feet close to his chest, sobbing quietly. "What happened?" Kel exclaimed frantically. "Why are you crying?" Sunny sniffed, and wiped tears from his face. " Do you hate me for lying to you guys?" Sunny cried. "Was everything a lie?"
