Left Behind (Suntan)

Awake

Kel stared down at Sunny, his eyes wide with concern and worry, his mouth pressed together in a frown. Sunny stared up at the beautiful boy, pink forming on his cheeks as he came to terms with the reality that he was resting in Kel's arms.

"Sunny! You're awake!" Kel exclaimed, his frown vanishing almost immediately.

"What time is it?" Sunny questioned, regaining his composure.

"5:00 pm." Kel replied, staring at the clock.

Sunny's eyes widened as he sat up causing Kel to shrink back in surprise.

"I need to go!" Sunny exclaimed as he got off Kel's lap, grabbing his sketchbook and supplies.

"Whhhhyyyyyy?" Kel moaned, his frown returning.

Sunny turned staring at Kel with a fierce fire in his eyes as he uttered the words "Therapy".

He then walked out of the room and was already making his way down the hallway when he froze and ran back into the room hugged Kel and whispered:

"I'll come back tomorrow."

He then ran out of the room, his cheeks pink, as he left Kel confused and lighthearted in the hospital room.

He came back the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that, and the process went on as the days went by, and over time, Kel's legs healed.

2 months later (Timeskip I know)

" Okay Kel, you're going to be released from the hospital today, and you'll need to make sure that something like this never ever happens again, okay?"

"Yes Miss Doctor!" Kel enthusiastically replied.

"Good. There's someone waiting for you outside. He seemed very excited."

Kel's eyes lit up, certain that it was Sunny. He ran out of the office, murmuring a quick "goodbye". He ran through the halls and towards the reception, a big smile plastered on his face. He could hear sounds from the reception as he turned the corner to see..
