Sunny turned red.
"What?" He asked, unsure whether he had heard Kel right or if he was hallucinating. "Could you repeat that?" Kel, dizzy and sleepy, had no idea of his slip-up. "I said: That was Hot." Said Kel. Kel moved forward, his face only inches away from Sunny's. Sunny moved backwards, flustered. "What do you mean?" Sunny asked.
"It means I think you're hot." Kel exclaimed in a carefree demeanour. "Like, REALLY hot." Sunny stared at Kel. "Are you sure?" Sunny asked. "Like REALLY sure." Kel nodded. Sunny blushed harder. "Does that mean you like me?" Sunny asked. Kel thought for a while. "Yes. It does mean I like you. Good night!" Kel exclaimed, then fell backwards into his fort, already asleep.
Sunny fell back onto his bed. WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED? Omori screamed. I have no idea, but was that a confession? Sunny asked. Of course it was! He just told you he thinks you're hot and that he likes you! Omori cried. Sunny was entirely red now. He likes me back..... Sunny thought.
The next morning, the two boys were out of bed much later than usual,With the both of them just realising the full extent of the events that took place last night. Breakfast took place in flustered silence, with both Sunny and Kel avoiding direct eye contact, only making conversation if it was really needed.
"Should we go to Basil's house now, tell him the good news?" Kel asked. Sunny nodded. "Sure." he replied. The walk there was filled with an uncomfortable silence. Both Sunny and Kel were trying to persuade themselves to break the silence, but they were both chicken.
At last, they reached the house, and knocked on the door. Basil had come to greet them, this time feeling much better after he took some time for himself. Kel told him the good news, which he was overjoyed to hear, but he could tell something was going on between Kel and Sunny.
