Sunny stared at Kel, surprised. Kel doesn't know who I am. He's forgotten me. They've all moved on, and I've been..... Left behind. Sunny thought. Omori could see Sunny's discomfort and took control of the situation. "His name is Sunny, and mine is Omori!" Omori exclaimed. "What should I call you?" asked Omori. Kel thought for a moment then replied. "What Sunny called me! Call me Kel!" Kel exclaimed.
Omori smiled, and motioned for Sunny to get acquainted with Kel. Sunny sighed and reached out his hand. "Nice to meet you Kel." Sunny said. Kel grabbed Sunny's hand and pulled Sunny along with him as they walked away. "Where are we going?" cried Sunny, his face pink from the realisation that he and Kel were holding hands.
"I'm taking you to meet my friend, cuz' you seem like a nice person!" Kel replied enthusiastically. Sunny smiled, and walked faster so that he and Kel could walk side by side. They kept on walking, with Kel not keen on letting go of Sunny's hand anytime soon, but Sunny didn't mind.
The two arrived at the treehouse and Kel let go of Sunny's hand to climb the ladder. Sunny paused, as memories of his treehouse flooded back to him, and he was reminded of Mari.Tears filled his eyes, but he shook it off and climbed up the ladder. He stepped into the treehouse, expecting to see Hero and Aubrey, but to his astonishment, only Basil was there.
"Where are the others?" asked Sunny. Kel stared at him, surprised, then dropped his gaze to the floor. "I'm amazed you know about Hero and Aubrey, but they're gone. They went mad and left.Now it's just me and Basil." Kel replied. Sunny gaped. "Went mad?" He whispered. Kel nodded. "Yeah. Just started talking about how they wouldn't forgive someone, and just left."
Author's note: I'm moving from the "Update wed-thurs from 3-5 pm" to an update close to daily, since i have more time on my hands. If i move back to the old schedule, i'll include it in an author's note. :)
