Hero stood in the yard, his face lighting up as Sunny and Kel walked over. He opened his mouth, eager to apologize to both of them, but could tell something was off. They were smiling, but their eyes weren't in it. Kel's face was twitching constantly, like he was trying to stop all sorts of emotions from showing on his face. Hero frowned a bit, and decided that now was probably not a good time.

Hero turned his gaze to Sunny, who was staring at the ground twiddling his thumbs. Sunny looked up at Hero and uttered a faint "Hello". Hero could hear the strain in Sunny's voice, and could see the faint hints of despair on his face. Hero decided to put aside apologizing for now, and thought it was best to let the younger boys solve their 'lovers quarrel'.

Hero heard the sound of his door opening and turned his gaze to his parents, who were speaking hurriedly. Hero glanced at his watch, and immeadiately started stuffing his bags in the boot of his car. He was late. He helped his parents to stuff their bags into the car, then walked over to Kel.

______

Kel stood motionless, his feeling in a whirl. He watched time pass, and occasionaly glance at Sunny out of the corner of his eye. Sunny was leaning on the fence, his hands hanging by his sides. Kel stared at his face, which was framed perfectly by the late morning sun. Sunny's eyes sparkled, the sunlight reflecting in his eyes as he stared off into the distance. Kel smiled, his mood progressively getting better. He heard the rustling of grass, and turned to see Hero.

His mood was in shambles yet again.

Kel frowned at Hero, and was greeted with a smile. Not a smile of contempt, but a sad smile. Kel stood still waiting to see how Hero would badmouth Sunny this time, but was surprised when Hero hugged him. "I'm Sorry Kel." Hero whispered. "It wasn't right of me to judge Sunny like that, and then badmouth and hurt the both of you. I-I hope," Hero continued, stuttering as the stress of the situation bagen to sink in. "I-I hope you c-c-could.... forgive me."
