Kel clenched his fists, and pushed away from the hug. "It's not so easy Hero!"  He cried. "I can't just forgive you that easily!"  Kel stared into Hero's eyes, daring him to lash out. Hero smiled sadly, but he didn't do anything. He turned around and walked to the car, sat in the front seat and waited. Kel's parents hurriedly waved goodbye and got in the car. Soon enough, they were gone, and Sunny and Kel's time together had begun.

Kel sighed, and turned to face Sunny. "Sorry about that." He said sheepishly. Sunny stared at him, and raised a question. " Don't you think that he was actually apologizing?"  Kel froze. " I mean, you were the first one to forgive me after I told you guys the truth, so.... maybe you could forgive him too?" Sunny finished, grinning. Kel cocked his head, confused. " Sunny, it's not about whether I can forgive him, it's about whether you can forgive him." Kel said.

"I think... I can forgive him." Sunny mumbled, staring at the floor. "It's to be expected that he reacted to the truth in that way, Mari was his girlfriend after all." Sunny paused. " How would you feel if someone killed your.... Partner?" Sunny mumbled, slowly turning red.

Kel's eyes widened, and he could feel  his heart beating louder and faster. " I would get really mad too." He said, blushing profusely. Sunny smiled. " That proves my point!" He exclaimed, proud of himself. Kel chuckled, and returned Sunny's infectious enthusiasm. "What do we do now?" He asked.

Sunny paused to think, then suggested : "Let's check on Basil! It would be nice to know how he's doing, don't you think?" Sunny asked. Kel nodded in agreement, and so the two boys began their expedition across the neighbourhood.
