Hero stood in the front yard of his house, holding a duffel bag, waiting for his parents to finish double-checking whether or not they had their belongings with them. Thoughts ran through Hero's mind, all about Kel, Sunny and Mari. His face constantly worked to showcase each emotion he felt as he pondered. Why is Kel spending so much time with Sunny? He thought. Why would he want to associate with that Murderer? I know that he's taken a liking to Sunny, and I never really gave it much thought until now... But he should stop with his games.
Hero's brow furrowed,his face stormy. A small voice from the back of his mind called out: There are people Kel could date, other than Sunny! Aubrey, Or... Kim! While Hero was listening to the little voice, another began to speak from inside his mind. Both Aubrey and Kim are not fit for the role! They were acting terribly towards Kel, Basil and Sunny! Kel should be allowed to like whoever he wants! The other voice interrupted the monologue. Sunny isn't good enough either! Neither is Basil! So the only person left is...
"Mari!" Hero cried, his eyes lighting up. Isn't she your girlfriend? The voices asked in unison. "Oh yeah.. So who should it be?" Sunny! One voice cried. No one! Cried the other. Hero stood silently, thinking of a match for Kel, his mind running through each person's attributes, when the 'Sunny is nice' voice spoke up. Face it. Everyone has flaws. You have flaws, Sunny has flaws, Basil has flaws, Aubrey has flaws, Kel has flaws, and Mari has flaws. "But- No Buts! The voice said. Everyone has flaws. Some people's flaws are just bigger than others. We should accept those flaws, and work on fixing those flaws. Together. So suck it up, and be nice to Sunny! The other voice said nothing, obviously beat.
Hero sighed, and nodded to himself. "Fine. Everyone has flaws and differences, and I'll make sure to accept those." Good! The voice exclaimed. Now let's go apologize to Sunny!
