Kel was unpacking his clothes and already had his pajamas on when Sunny came up to him with a grave look on his face. "There is an urgent matter that we must address," Sunny stated, his voice monotone as ever. "There seems to only be one bed in the house." Kel understood the gravity of the situation, but quickly came up with a solution. "I can build a fort for me to sleep in!" Kel exclaimed energetically. Sunny stared at him, confused. Kel continued, taking Sunny's reaction as a cue to go on. " You must have some old pillows and blankets that you don't use right?" Sunny nodded, intrigued. "I can use those to build my awesome fort!" Kel finished excitedly. Sunny nodded, and thought for a while. " Wouldn't you need blueprints for the fort?" He questioned. Kel's eyes lit up, and he nodded excitedly.
Sunny smiled, and said,"I'll go get the paper and pencils, you get the equipment." Kel grinned widely, gave a mock salute, then ran off, his feet thumping on the ground as he ran around the house. Sunny giggled, blushing, then went off to find his paper and pencils.
The rest of the evening was spent brainstorming and thinking of ideas for the fort. Kel had gathered all the soft and comfy pillows and blankets he could find, and they both drew and came up on ideas based on the type and size of the pillow. " I still think we should put buckets of water around the fort, so that anyone who tries to trespass would get splashed!" Sunny smiled softly and dismissed the notion with a wave of his hand. " Please kel, you would wake up and knock over the buckets by accident because you would be too sleepy to pay attention." Kel mock pouted, and then broke into laughter. His laughter was infectious, as Sunny joined in too.
The boys started building the fort, and were rooting through the pillows when Kel made a noise which sounded like a cross between a gasp and a noise only a strangled person would make. Sunny looked towards Kel and saw him holding up a black stuffed cat toy. Kel turned towards Sunny, his eyes shining, and exclaimed, " This is so adorable! Why was this left in the storage to rot?" Sunny sat, confused. "I Thought I lost it years ago.." he whispered. " I guess it's not lost anymore then!" Kel exclaimed as the two boys smiled at each other, and continued to root through the pile of pillows.
