Cry

Kel opened the front door followed closely by Sunny, and Kel peered into the garden next door. He met his parents' eyes, and waved energetically. "Good Morning Mom! Morning' Dad!" Kel's parents waved back, smiling.Sunny stared at this scene, witnessing the togetherness of Kel's family, silently hoping that he and his mother could be like that one day, even after all that happened. The thought of the truth made Sunny a bit sad, and Sunny's vision got blurry as his eyes filled up with tears.

He ran back into the house determined to not let anyone see him cry. He locked himself in the bathroom, sobbing silently, as memories of Mari and his friends came flooding back to him. He curled up into a ball, hugging himself. Sunny could hear a knock at the door. "Knock knock." said the person on the other side. "Who's there?" Sunny whispered, trying not to break into sobs again. "It's me, Kel." Said the voice. "Could you open the door please?" Sunny could feel more tears falling down his face as he stated: "No." Sunny couldn't hear anything from the other side, and then quickly added, "We can talk like this though.."

The person on the other side was content with Sunny's decision and it immediately questioned, " Are you okay Sunny? Why'd you run away?" Sunny sighed, and opened his mouth, but only a whimper came out, and Sunny could hear himself sobbing again. Sunny managed to squeeze a sentence before he started crying more. " I'm sorry.. for everything I've done."

There was a silence from the other side of the door, and Sunny started to wonder where the person behind the door went. He dried his tears, and unlocked the door, to find Kel sitting beside the door, tears silently flowing down his face. Sunny's eyes widened, and he knelt down and leaned in close to Kel. "What happened? Are you okay?" He asked frantically.
