Sunny turned to look at Kel who was standing behind him, looking confused. Sunny turned red, while Basil just stared blankly. "How much of the conversation did you hear?" Sunny mumbled. Kel giggled. "Only the chair part. Wanna tell me why you're gonna confess your love to a chair?" Kel asked.
Basil snapped out of his trance and cheerily exclaimed, "It's because Sunny has a crush!" Kel gasped. "Who is it?" Kel asked.Basil held his index finger up to his mouth and whispered: "It's a secret." Kel groaned, setting down the food on the table. Sunny grabbed his tea from the tray, and sipped it quietly, Basil grabbed his surprise flavour milkshake from the tray and sipped it. Smacking his lips, "Mmmm Banana and Strawberry with Chocolate sauce." Basil said, while Kel pulled up a chair and frantically tried to guess who it was.
"Aubrey? Kim? Charlene? Who is it?" Kel asked frantically. Basil smiled coyly. "You seem a bit too interested Kel..." Basil said. Kel turned a violent shade of red, and tried to defend his case, but he was already a stuttering mess. Basil smiled, staring at the two blushing boys sitting in front of him. I feel so single. Thought Basil. It'll be worth it when these two get together. Basil nodded, in agreement with himself, before pushing his drink away and reaching for the pizza.
"Anyways, let's eat!" Basil exclaimed happily,already holding a slice of pizza in his hand. Sunny reached for a slice of pizza, and so did Kel. The three boys all began to eat their pizza in content silence. I've got everything I wanted, Thought Sunny. I'm with two good friends, and they still accept me after everything I did. So why do I want to risk everything by asking Kel out?
Author note: I was listening to the Sasaki to Miyano ending music on loop while writing this, and everytime it started again, I felt like crying. I need to rewatch the series.
